Everyone has their own "coming out story." Minsan nakakatouch, minsan nakakaiyak, pero all the time, nakakakaba. Pero in the greater scheme of things, why should that even matter?
About Queerfully Yours 🌈
Queerfully Yours is a podcast featuring Steven Bansil, Miss Deliciousness, Poca, and Chardie B where they share their life stories on being queer adults in the Philippines. Follow Queerfully Yours here:

This is so far the ep for me. Me as a woman with a gay man partner, it is indeed true na talagang kayang mahalin ang isang tao regardless of our gender. Late ko man 'to napanood. ❤ Happy Pride! 🌈

It’s also boils down how you approach the person when you ask for their pronouns. If you give proper disclosure or you’re both in the right open communication mindset can also help the awkwardness in asking them about their pronouns. Kasi for me in my experience, it’s fine if people misgender me or what but the tone of their words and also yung minsan pinapamukha sayong minimisgender ka nila, is the only time na na-ooffend ako

Thank you for this. I'm straight and madami sa circle of friends namin na nafefeel namin na 'not straight' men but we haven't asked ever since we've met around 10 years ago. Now this actually helpful knowing the struggles and difficulties of coming out. Same scenario kami lagi tinatanong ng ibang tao, pero we don't care din naman whichever pronoun pa sila

My dad is closeted. My mom left him when she caught him with another guy pero she didn’t tell him the reason why she left. I’m his unica hija pero nauna pa ko mag out sa kanya (I’m pan). I knew he’s been dating men on the down low since bata pa ko and honestly, I feel bad for him. He’s the highest achiever but his cousins calls him “bakling” behind his back. Those people are the ones he helped ha! They’re only nice to him kasi they’re gaining sumn from him. I feel bad for my dad tbh. Ako, I’m out pero my relatives are still in denial. I’m good with them calling me the blacksheep basta I’m happy and free. I can’t be like my dad. Sobrang lungkot.

And to add. My parents are still friends up to this day. My mum was absentee pero that’s bcos my lola had to hide me for years. Now that mum found me, I had her move back into our house and my parents are like besties na hahaha I guess that’s our happy ending

I hope we can raise more awareness and create support group for people like us. Maswerte ang ilan na open and supportive ang family nila when they come out. Hope we also lend our ears for those people who cannot come out due to their circumstances.

What I like about this vlog is that it showcases a spectrum of gayness. Hindi naka kahon at may kanya-kanyang perspective ang bawat isa, which makes for interesting watch, aside from the bonus of it being informative in an easy manner.

'Bakit sayang? --SAMEE! I get uncomfortable pag nakakabasa or nakakarinig ako ng comments na may 'sayang ... ' Naisip ko, why do people have a narrow understanding of what happiness is? Di naman iisa ang formula to happiness, so just accept and appreciate. No need to feel bad for something just because you have a different opinion. Just respect and be happy for them, ganern. BTW, sooo loving the podcast. Haha binge watching here. ❤

I really admire the 4 of you and your stories. I just wish asking pronouns was already a norm and no one is shamed for asking or for answering. He/Him, She/Her, They/Them and all the rest of the pronouns can never be concluded just by looks alone. I'm hoping we can live in a world where everyone is comfortable asking and answering these questions. Our identities shouldn't be something we should be ashamed of or shamed for. More power to the 4 of you. You always have an ally in me. :) Love you guys!

I think one of the issues as well is that some cannot come out due to identity crisis. I myself was also closeted gay before and took me 20 years to completely understand and accept myself. During my time, early 90's, limited lang ang alam ng mga tao about LGBTQIA+. During those times ang hirap kapag closeted ka lalo pa't yung family mo is conservative and is very religious. I am afraid to come out kasi alam kong ma bubully ako sa school noon kasi nga kapag bakla ka subject ka na bullying and disrespect. Walang support group or organization sa school or community to help gay people like us.

I disagree that we have to ask pronouns right away bec not everyone wants to be confronted with sexuality and identity. And not all people know about the appropriation of pronouns. We can be educative but not forceful. Just my opinion.

Pronouns is grammar we cannot change it. It would be nice if it will politely start from you guyz. Lets say a server addressed you as sir or kuya, you may correct them by saying id like to be addressed sana as mam, madam or ate politely ha. Omg, i have a question.. our family have this hairdresser na bakla.. tapos he's like, not naman matanda, but you know older than everyone.. yet my family calls him by his first name.. however, ako, bilang im the youngest in the family.. i dont think its appropriate for me to just call him by his name kase parang i feel like, walang respect ung mag tawag lng nga pangalan nya using his first name. And mind you, this hairdresser, he's parang, sir sir na bakla.. parang very formal and i dont think i can simply call him "Ate" kase, i think its not appropriate.. So, the question is, how do i address him/her without, you know, sounding like a total idiot. 😅 Should i call him "Ate" or "Kuya"? Kase naman For the longest time, everytime kinakausap nya ako, i address him as "kuya" kase yan ung nakaugalian ko na since i was very little. Am i wrong to call him that now? Or should i change it to "Ate"?

Gottmik uses "he/him" out of drag and "she/her" in drag! So great that you clarify how important it is to ask pronouns because we have a lot of feminine/masculine representation that does not really "align" with their pronouns!
