I know a lot of people got up in arms about queer baiting and all that when Q died, but I gotta be honest, as a bi guy this was probably the truest representation I've seen. I'm sure there are other stories out there that do a great job as well, but I haven't had one get as close and as personal as this. I'll never not cry over that scene, (And this video has been my catharsis for like 3 years lmao) but I'll also never not be thankful that an honest story was told that reflected my own experiences.

Quentin and Eliot work so well bc before they got together they were friends, they went through shit together and they fought battles together, they loved each other platonically before they loved each other romantically and that’s something Q and Alice never got to do, that’s why Queliot is so pure and good and they will forever be my favorite ship

I think Q&A had their friendship moments but the chemistry wasn't as heavy. And I think there are aspects of each other they don't fully like where as Q&E can work whether relationship or friendship. There is a RESPECT there for each other that even if things aren't working out there is still support and understanding. Not sure if Alice fully understood Q like E did. Her love for him was mostly because of her own personal issues that being with Q seemed to help her with, it doesn't seem to be specifically about him and who he is. Whereas I think Eliot understood him deeply. Hence why he even said that given choice Q probably wouldnt be in a gay relation...He got him. Even in season 1 was able to connect with him.

I honestly didn't like Quentin at the start because he felt like a generic main male lead, but his character developed in surprising ways through his relationship with Eliot (who is one of my favorites from the start). Not just this couple, I felt like every single one of them did live out their characters in unexpected ways, but this ship is my favorite whether romantic or not, the deep connection is enough. (and brOTP is Eliot/Margo no matter what.)

I'm watching this and trying not to cry. This couple destroys me and you've done such a great concise sum up of their love. I adore how you matched the lyrics with Q's various losses, this song was already a tearjerker but now it feels like a raw nerve into Q's soul. I'm also delighted someone finally used the 'Team Eliot ' line, it was so concrete but it seemed like everyone missed it! Your lingering focus on the slow dawning realisation of their previous life together, plus the 'life partners ' line, are the cherries on top. Wonderful, my dear. Wonderful!

i get what you're saying but with these two 'i love him'.. it's not enough, i guess? it sells their relationship short, because it's not even about love, they can be okay with each other even without love, even when they fuck up badly (ie when Quentin cheated on Alice after emotion suppression, it put a strain on the relationships between everyone involved but Q and El were still good. they can do messed up shit and it's still not enough to break them apart) they just. care for each other. (not to mention that if the monster knew that Q *loved* Eliot, he might've done something stupid)

Hey can I just say, I basically haven't consumed any magicians media in probably two years, but every once in a while I come back to this video if I just need a good cry :) It's so well edited and extremely well paced. I hardly remember the context for these scenes but your video is burned into my skull to the point where a randomly get this song stuck in my head even though I don't know it from anywhere else. Holy shit. That was amazing. Like when the song started playing I was like, "oh good choice" but then the EDITING. I think my favorite bit was showing each of them losing all their past loves during the refrain, absolute perfection. And the editing with "brave face talk so lightly" and "hide the truth" with talking about q bring brave or eliot hiding how he was queer when he was young? Just so good. The ending with their distraught remembering was so great too. Awesome job
