As I was looking at KZbin, I randomly stumbled upon this video of this extraordinary virtuoso who masterfully fusesgospel, Jazz, ragtime and percussion. He starts off with At the cross which moved me to tears, as it reminded me of sitting in church with my father as a nine year old. At Vermont Avenue Baptist, he was a baritone in the choir. There was improvisation, superb musicians and sermons that got people off their feet, or running around the church as they caught the Spirit. The message is so beautiful. You see that Soul and R and B is rooted in Gospel. This young man and singers off camera took me to CHOICH!! Thank you for this blessing. The medleys are just brilliant. I haven't see quennel play all the styles of jazz, so personally i dont know how qell he can play. There a lot of guys that play pretty good but not in the monster mode...like Keith , mc tyner , chick, Harvey , Art , Peterson, There are many levels on genres but to me if you just play good gospel or just jqzz or a bit ok all you still need to improve. Molina is been playing piano 🎹 i think 5 to 6 years only And he is doing pretty good already at any genre almost. Any ways , Quennel is very good a just dont know how good jet.

I’ve checked out Molina and he’s a monster at jazz piano too but, I would love to see him go solo on other genres no band or arrangements just straight piano. Until then, “I don’t know how well he can play”.
