The things that go on in his head as he plays is unthinkable. Talented and creative

I think it's time we set Quennel Gaskin apart from the typical gospel keyboardists. Let's acknowledge him for the classical gospel pianist that he is!

I had the pleasure of performing with him years ago, and when I tell you the rehearsals where far greater than the actual performance is an understatement!! He is genuine, gracious, encouraging, and brought out the very best in everyone. I pray that god absolutely blows your mind with his blessings on your journey Master Q!!

He's clearly studied the likes of Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Phineas Newborn Jr and others. It's always great to hear one's influences come alive in their playing while still sounding like himself! Many musician seldom get that far within themselves! Yet it's a level we all should be reaching for until we can play no more.

Straight theory! This man understands every component to all 12 keys with their relative scales, modes, diminished, augmented, whole tone, and has broken down each scale within the major scale and all the scales components to freely move fluently throughout the keys and runs, and all variations of chord progressions, it’s all from his knowledge of the scales and the relative components to each key and work all his theory knowledge within a key! Amazing, and to be able to think through his level of theory, and how quickly he transitions and runs, I’ve never heard someone run through all 7 modes within each key and quickly. It’s prodigy like! Seriously
