Raising Arizona felt like a Wile E Coyote cartoon brought to life…in the best way possible. They were doing new things, but it felt familiar. Such a great film.

I used to hang out with a friend who was a former pastor who was changing his outlook a bit and exploring the world in a way that had been alien to him previously. He liked movies and had a few old favourites, but wanted to fill in gaps where he hadn't been taking things in, so to speak. One movie night I showed him Raising Arizona, and the moment the credits rolled at the end he said, "Whoever made that movie had a vision."

OK, I'm gonna say it (if nobody else will): the *sound editing* is getting pretty nutty in here, dudes. :D If you're gonna have a video clip of a famous director praising a movie's technical achievements sky-high (maybe even--- a little higher than deserved), then the sound quality shouldn't be like a sixth-grader discovering his first four-track. :D

This was my favorite movie as a child growing up in Arizona. I remember at a very young age thinking I may not understand all of this, but look at the way it’s filmed!!! You could tell the uniqueness and style and filming techniques were masterful subconsciously at a young age, and it gave me a feeling like I’m watching something special every time.. The diaper robbery/chase scene is still one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. The music is spectacular too.

Coen Brothers are the best film makers from 1990 onwards. No contest. Love QT, but he generally is making the same flick over and over again (revenge). The breadth and depth of the Coen’s work is unreal. They do it all. Drama, comedy, suspense, great stories, non predictable casting, etc etc. they make cinema in the truest sense of the word
@@belachaney I like Tarantino but he does not have the Coen's range as a filmmaker he's not gonna do character studies like the Coen's did with The Man Who Wasn't There or a Serious Man and to a large extent Barton Fink. Also nobody writes better dialogue than the Coens and the dialogue styles they write in are vastly different just compare Raising Arizona with Miller's Crossing with Fargo the dialogue in each is completely different stylistically but brilliant in every one. As good as Tarantino's dialogue is it still always sounds like something out of an Elmore Leonard novel.

So you just take clips from interviews, make your little thumbnail in photoshop, publish it and get views. You didn’t conduct the interviews, you don’t have any connection to any of these people, but you make money doing this? How much money does KZbin actually pay you? And how is there not copyright strikes for just taking this material from other people? That just seems wrong to me.
@Asicasters11 күн бұрын
Yeah that’s what they do, but it’s a lot of work to find, compile and edit interviews then find, compile and edit footage pertaining to it. This is a lot of work and it’s extremely satisfying and easy to watch for viewers. That deserves whatever the creator gets and probably more, in my opinion.
