Quentin has said the reason that he wants to stop at 10 before was because he feels as though as a director gets older, they don't make movies that are as good. I feel like when he was asked he wanted to say that but he completely froze because Ridley Scott was there, just my opinion.

+Granteus It's already happened.
@Hard_Boiled_Entertainment9 жыл бұрын
+Granteus To be fair, Ridley was in a LONG slump before"The Martian", where his films post-"American Gangster" were considered by and large major disappointments. A LOT of folks were deeply concerned he'd lost it, and had, effectively, been around too long. Thank goodness for the comeback. Still, I can't help wondering if that long slump had for a time confirmed the "young man's game" theory in QT's mind. But I'm sure Quentin's as happy for Ridley as anyone for the comeback.

+Adrhodes442 According to who? Even his worst film Death Proof still has a fresh rating on rotten tomato. So... Opinions are opinions but you're in the minority.
@Adrhodes4429 жыл бұрын
Bryan Conor Me. That's what an opinion is you 15 year old ignoramus. Also if you ever find yourself being concerned about what the majority of people think, you should take a long hard look at your life. I would suggest that you find critics whose opinion you respect and generally agree with, and then pay attention to what they have to say about a film, rather than relying on a arbitrary algorithm from some dumb grading website to tell you what to think.

I bet after Quentin makes his "ten movies", he will still make the occasional film but it would they would be much different. Rather than making films in his traditional style, he'll probably more artsy, experimental, shorter (by shorter I mean like 90 minutes as opposed to his usual running time) films. More like film essays that actual narrative driven stuff.

Riddley came off as a little bit harsh in the begininning
@DeathBringer7699 жыл бұрын
+Elliot Ruddy Good. He shouldn't be immune from questions or criticisms about placing an arbitrary limit of the number of films he can make. If he really wants to stick to that, he should really consider *why* exactly he's doing that and how valid his justifications really are to himself personally. You don't find out if something personal like that is a truly right decision for yourself unless you spend a long time deeply considering it from all angles, even asking yourself (or having other people ask) the uncomfortable questions you may not like asking yourself. It's easy to feed yourself a "comfortable" narrative and never really question/know yourself truly. Honest, true, deep self-reflection is important, and sometimes it takes some poking and prodding from external influences (other people) to bring that process out, or make it more honest, as long as it's truly for your own good and not just some assholish judgment dressed up like that.
@ElliotRuddy9 жыл бұрын
I agree, constructive criticism is great to really snap you back into reality, but I just found that his tone of voice and firmness, felt almost invasive and belittling in the beginning, but I can most definitely see where you are coming from with your point.
