Hi, I have a query: for the first question, my teacher said that USS is always first line investigation if someone has jaundice. So could it be that CT is preferred only if they have a mass with it?

The question was what Investigation would be most useful to 'diagnose' the underlying pathology, not what the 1st line Ix woud be. In reality CTs can take a while to get vetted and you'd get an Abdo USS first. But its a classic trick in exams you should be wary of i.e. 1st line vs Diagnostic
