I just watched this video and I thought you were going to cry a few times. I did cry. You are a kind, respectful, compassionate person. I wish you could have held my hand when my husband passed. This video is awesome. God bless you sir.

If there is a special place in heaven this man will be there I've known a lot of Undertaker's in my life and I work for a few funeral homes but I have never once heard a funeral director tell kids to call him to come take them home instead of to the funeral home my heart goes out to you sir thank you for your service and God bless. Kids listen he's giving you a chance and I advise you to seriously take it.

I thought there were several times he was going to cry. I got the impression that this is a very sensitive, caring person. This video should be part of driver's education classes.
@racheldemain19404 жыл бұрын
So did I and I can see why. He is so passionate about keeping people safe and by visiting his Funeral Home bring home the message very clearly that this is where their poor Parents could next be seeing them. I don't drive but have often stayed at a Hotel or a Friend's place if I have missed the last train or bus home.

@@tonywilliams8426 This was a recorded tour with the media/yearbook class of the high school. Depending upon the day/tour, my mood and responsiveness of the young people on the tour, I did cry a little. After this video was made a couple of students died and this tour became much more personal and emotional for me. Even more so than what you see in the video. Often, I could really use a good lay down after the last tour of the day (3 each Thursday). They were emotionally exhausting if I was doing them right. Thank you for watching ~ CubCariboo

Every year for 13 years, almost every Thursday for 6 months, I did 3 student tours. It hurt every single time! The tours became much more emotional (by design) after this video was filmed because a couple of former students died in car accidents. I almost quit. But after some time and a good talking too, I decided that the lives of these young people are far more important than my feelings! So, I continued until Covid and some other issues paused the PARTY program here. PS: My youngest daughter was on last tour of the last day. Now THAT was an emotional day! Thank you for watching ~ CubCariboo

This video should be given to every parent whose child is getting their learners permit. Then sit down and watch this together. This man I could feel almost tear up which in turn made me tear up and realize how well he believes in caring for each individual person regardless who they were.

I posted this video of the Funeral Home portion of the Party Program so it could be shared elsewhere. Then I forgot all about it. I have been doing these tours for about 10 years and am still doing them to this day. The tour is actually more personal and emotional now then it was in 2012 when this video was created with the hard work of the CORRELIEU Secondary School media students and their teacher. Thank you for all of the amazing comments! I had no idea but am filled with gratitude that someone has seen this. You just made my day, year, life! LOLZ Thank you so very much, Christopher L. What a love this man obviously has for people in his care and a concern for those who aren't. And what else impressed me was his offering to call the funeral home's number if they were not in a condition to drive home safely. I have never seen that before. Very admirable.

This is one powerful, sincere, and heartfelt message. I don't know who the man is delivering the message, but his words ring a remarkable bell, whether you're 16 or 60. Thank you so much for your post. I'm grateful for your humanity and compassion with the living, and your respectful treatment of our deceased friends an loved ones. Your work is more appreciated and respected than you realize, and the living beneficiaries of your services are more grateful than you know. God bless you and yours, may He bless your work, and godspeed to you and yours. This extends to all in you profession. Thank you.

I had to go to a Funeral Home when I was a Junior in High School for my Health Class, I found it very interesting because when my Best Friends Mom Died I was interested in how they did her to prepare her for the Viewing for her Family. I have gone to my Sisters, & My Brother Funeral & I still wanted to know what they did to them to keep them looking like they were Sleeping & not just Dead.

When you have seen the things as he has in his profession, it takes a strong person with the will to do the passion that goes into being in the career he has chosen to do. I've been a Paramedic since 1984, worked with the funeral homes that provided the Ambulance as well. It takes a very special person to choose this as their calling in life, Sir, I tip my hat to you & thank you for your service to all mankind.

Thank you!!! This is what saves lives, changes perspectives and has a positive results that will be remembered and shared with others. The courts choose to send people arrested for driving under the influence to MADD pannels(mothers against drunk driving). These presentations are meant to help people see effects of such behavior, but seem to be more focused on shame and blame. I am sad for the mothers who lost a child that way but more heartbroken by the fact that they have decided to remember how their child died rather than how they lived. By bringing those young kids to the funeral home to hear the truth about what really happens when the family is faced with the loss of a loved one makes it real. Please continue doing these tours.

Some Fire services in the UK show kids with their demonstration cars, what it's like to have a car cut up around you while you are injured and the reverberations of their cutting equipment going straight through you , or that's how it feels anyway. It's very sobering.

I respected this man's story until he started about embalming. Unembalmed bodies are perfectly safe to interact with. There are almost no viruses that can survive in a dead body and the bacteria pose no danger the the living. This man has been lied to. Embalming is /illegal/ in my country and we interact with our dead with no detriment to our health or safety.
