I am a short sighted spexxy guy.. Would I fair better with the QUEST 1? Due to the dual screens? Do you use prescription lenses on your quest 2 or is the ipd slide adjust do the job?I managed to swap mine over from my occulus go to the quest 2 when I traded up, they work fine.

@@JETJOOBOY its probably backwards compatible. Cant see why not. Doesn't use any of the quest 2 features such a 90hz etc.. but if you value your IPD, the quest 1 would probably be better for you, unless you're a stickler for better resolution. the quest 2 IPD function is bollocks....

Yes in fact the bad guys are the nazi regiments those where in WW2 as you can see by the name of the game this is a simulation of WW1 we (Americans) also fought the Germans in this war but they did much less “bad stuff” than the horrible nazis.

Incredible experience for me personally. Was my first time flying in VR. It also helped me establish my legs a bit better. I never get sick in VR but a bit dizzy, this game... definitely forces you out of that comfort zone and before you know it, it's not even a thing anymore. Really fun, extremely satisfying shooting and dogfighting mechanics. HIGHLY recommend.

Flight sims are one of my favorites and can’t wait to try a VR one! I love to fly and should’ve gotten my pilots license like my father did, he used to take me up in little Cesnas and let me hold the wheel. My longest commercial flight was 16 hrs from Dubui to Atlanta and vise versa, made the round trip several times when I was in Afghanistan...it is tedious but the plane was huge and once up in the air they had a mingle spot in the rear of the aircraft where you could stand and chat with other passengers along with a long table with snack foods and drinks.

To be fair ww1 pilots, specifically the Germans, were known to paint their planes in elaborate and vibrant camouflage patterns so to a certain extent the colour combo you chose is actually fairly prototypical

Now this game I absolutely loved, made my stomach turn and gave me the shakes the first time i flew a plane haha but now I fly around and do barrell rolls like a pro. I love hit planes and ships with the flare gun 😂 I feel so badass afterwards. Only thing this games needs is better graphics and that's it. 9/10

Best game on Quest 2, the stick and rudder feel of ye old WW1 tech is magic. Jet fighter sims are too fast and relies on long range missiles, the close quarter dog fights in Warplanes are fantastic.

This is what game devs don't realise.. On a PC sure, a game with an intricate and elaborate story, work... but we all remember (most of us.. well some of us) the old days of simple FUN games. Not retarded android games, but good games.. death track, etc.. VR is where these things can shine.. we don't need story lines that either confuse or bore us, and a plodding saga to follow in order to have a good game.. just this.. fly, shoot, upgrade, progress. nothing wrong with it. The people who created this knew what they were doing, hence it works... unlike so many devs who think up elaborate PC style games and destroy it trying to make it a VR game. VR is a different reality to 2D game play. I don't want hours of dialogue and boring interaction. I want to just get in a do the game... and not to a hyper beat, where all I do is wave my arms or slice fruit. meh, sure that has it's place, if you can bother. "Oh look I beat my last score, I beat sabered xyz this time in abc amount of time, and man are my arms sore!! wooohooo!" I wanna play "Need for speed most wanted" in VR, not "driving simulator 9000 with added reality mode and inability to have fun"... Devs are thinking of it all wrong, in most cases. striving for a PC 2D experience in 3D/VR... when often the simplest of concepts are the best.. Also, I don't want to memorize 68 button configs just to do something. Or need an entire custom built rig to control something.. maaaahhh... this game is and should be, a clue to all who develop games. simple, good fun, addictive, and balanced. well thats my2c.

This has the potential to be an amazing game, although I did find a weird bug on the uboat mission where as soon as you pick up a bomb to drop down you can't steer until you drop the bomb (somebody set us up the bomb). Bought it on itch so looking forward to new missions etc.

I'm fairly new to VR it would be extremely helpful if Right at the beginning of the video when you start talking about the game. If you can say whether or not this is going to require computer tethering in order to play on the quest 2. Little late for this comment considering you posted awhile ago. Anyways, the flare gun was used by WW1 pilots to shoot down the air raid ballons. The Air Raid balloons where used to prevent bombers from being able to fly over cities and bomb them. I’ve played this game on iPad but it looks way more fun using VR. Great video bro.

The saddest thing is, if WW1 didn't happen, WW2 would have never started. Hitler only won the heart of his people because Germany lost territory and were only allowed a limited army and a lot of the Germans felt like they were getting punished for WW1 when it wasn't those who were responsible for the war starting. Hitlers powerful speeches won the German people over.

@beardbenjo hi, really love your videos and need some help. I have brought vorpX to play titanfall 2 on my quest 2, same as you. I cant get the resolution to work its just all zoomed in and a mess. Do you have any advice on how to get it setup as im struggling to get it working.

For Titanfall 2 ensure you've got the FOV turned all the way up in the ingame settings, as high as it will go. Then when you load into a level and are able to move around you can open the Vorpx menu (only visible inside your headset, bring it up by pressing space I believe, I've changed my default keybindings so I can't remember what the normal vorpx menu button is). In that menu you can play with settings like zoom etc but for Titanfall 2 you should only need to select "direct VR scan" from that menu, let it do the scan and the resolution & FOV should correct themselves to a much better experience.

@@BeardoBenjo hi thanks for the reply. I have managed to finally get it half descent but not completely full screen. Direct VR is not an option so I have to mess about. I was expecting a true 3D environment but it’s more a trick but still works. Just trying to juggle resolution/frame rate if you have any tips on the other than dropping highs to lows on graphics.

It is an amazing game! If you enable "realistic" or "simulation" mode, you can do barrel rolls and backflips ;)

How do you enable realistic mode?! I can't find the option anywhere

@@BeardoBenjo Think you'd need to restart it and select it from beginning. I started on arcade on the demo then jumped to realistic once i bought it.

@@BeardoBenjo Correction. Just noticed when i looked at your video from start you do not have the Cloud save option page on the book at the beginning. You must be running an older version so probably do not have access to the online games either. You need to update to version 1.1 which is current version.

If you want to somewhat get a taste of this, Warplanes WW1 fighters is available as a mobile game, tho its not first person and has less detail. Does have the same audio aswell as many of the visuals and textures as the VR game. Theres also a WW2 version of the game, wich is also available on mobile (but not in VR).

I have this game on my phone (android) made by same company HNG and it is fun on the phone so it has to be even better on VR.

You can fly a more simulation mode and barrel roll etc. Also, you don't need a pc to load this onto your Q2.
