Seriously, this video should be the first thing that pops up when you turn the thing on the first time. They just get you downloading apps on your phone and creating avatars, then you're on your own. It'd be nice if they included a tour like this and a few demos to get you oriented.

If it’s your account they should just load onto both anyway. If it’s another account in the same house you can app share by setting up a new account in the headset and then selecting app sharing.

You have to bump them three times and then they switch. Also you can select in the menu to auto switch to hands and then you just need to put the controllers down and move your hands around to switch over.

What is the quest 3? Block diagrams are nice... I think it has CPU, ram, storage, and networking, so what does it do with your phone... is the networking just bluetooth so it uses the phone for wifi?

You only need the phone for initial setup really. You can cast to it and also buy games and it links via WiFi.

The main thing is to check the ipd (use the lens distance wheel and the ipd measure app) as this can cause blur. Also the images won’t be as sharp as a standard games console or as sharp as any of the screen records you see on KZbin. The pass through cameras are grainy and a bit soft as well. If you know someone else that has one that’s the only way to Compare and see if there’s is the same.

I noticed when the the quest 3 charges it takes around 60 seconds per power percentage point. So in other words 100 % charge takes a little longer than 100 minutes.

It took even longer than that on mine - I’m using the Quest 2 cable and plug, I wonder if the speed has improved with the Quest 3 cable/plug - I should swap it out really, I was being lazy lol

@@EatSleepVR I may be wrong since I haven't bought the Quest yet, but the Q2 official charger gives 5v 2A = 10 Watts and the Q3 official charge gives 9v 2A = 18 Watts, so, yes, it should charge faster.

In mixed reality the room isn’t sharp, it is blurry unfortunately. You can double check your ipd and make sure your lenses are set up correctly but the mixed realty images aren’t perfect.

I had a lot of issues on the quest 2 but not on the 3. I changed my router to 5ghz instead of 2.4 which helped with the quest 2 so might be worth a try.
