Can you advise me how to remove the pointer dot when streaming video in a web browser. I open a video stream in the "Meta Quest Browser", play the video, put down the controllers, and after a while a pointer dot appears on my screen directly from the headset. So I have to point (activate) the controller at the screen again to make it disappear. And after a short time, the dot and the bottom bar with the video scale will appear again. I've tried other browsers and the problem is there too.

10 hacks... Man after watching this video I'm nervous with the NSA might be watching me with all this hacking going on crazy life hacks that no one would have ever thought to do like... Changing the head strap... And let's not forget the other one changing your general settings that even a 2-year-old would have found an understood. How about doing a video walking people through how to set up side quests or get ADB commands? How about walking them through running the quest optimizer which has been updated to boost the quest 3's graphics considerably? How about showing them how to use NAS for a storage solution so they can expand their quest 3 in case they couldn't afford to get the 512 GB and are worried about running out of space etc etc etc

Hi Thanks for the hints and tips . Wondering if the field of view can also be increased slightly as well by removing the face gasket and using something smaller so the eyes gets very close to the lenses ? I wonder - even with the quest 2 people could do this and a bigger fov - wondering if it’s the case with the quest 3?

I have heard people using this vrcover.com/product/oculus-quest-foam-replacement-slim/ to increase their FOV and for better comfort. I do agree. Since I also have a pro and it uses a thinner vr cover is does give me a better FOV

Thanks for the comment and the link - think though that cover may not be compatible with the quest 3 but am sure there will be . I wonder if you have tried removing the faceplate and placing your eyes right against the lenses ? The quoted fov of the q3 is 110 degrees but it might be higher without this gasket - could you possibly check that and get back to me ? Id really appreciate it and it would really help me to decide wether to get this or a pimax - but I don’t like all the hardware and tinkering with the pimax headsets .

@@paulnicolas172 I tried removing the faceplate and bring my eyes close to the lenses. It's too blurry to use. It seems that you need a certain distance away from the lenses to bring everything into focus.

@@charlesmeister2037 Okay and appreciate you tried this . What a shame 🥵. Since I asked this question here a few people have mentioned differing things . A few mentioned that the fov increases to like 20 percent more , one mention it only is a few degrees and another mentioned it’s like 10 percent better . But no one mentioned it was blurry . Am guessing it may vary with faceshape and ipd as the person who mentioned the 20 percent increase had an ipd of 71 . Am guessing it’s going to have to be a personal experience of actually using the headset before I know for sure . I tried doing a similar thing with my htc vive a while back and when I removed the facial foam the fov did improve a fair bit and didn’t experience blurriness. Anyways thank you for your comment as they all help .

The squared resolution that comes in default is the best... selecting anything else is just cropping the video. All the images rendered in the headset are in the default format anyways...

Did you record your VR Video in 640x480 or why is it so blurry? You need to fix that using developer options or the quest game optimizer!

There is no Chromecast listed in casting for me. I only have PC or Phone. If I cast to my Android Phone, I dont have any way to use the App to cast to TV. My only option is the mirror my screen with yet another App. Now So to get the display on TV, I have to cast to phone, then mirror phone with Google Home to the chromecast device that displays on the TV. WHY???? Please help.

These are excellent tips for when I buy the Quest 3. One piece of advice: bring down the background music. It should only be 20% of your actual voice. Even though I can still hear your voice, it competes with that annoying music, making it irritating to see the video. Look at other KZbinrs and how they do it. You can raise the music only during transitions or the ending of the video, but never while you are talking.

if you guys are watching videos on the quest 3 lets say for example alex honalds rock climbing video or the video where your sitting on top of the dragon exsp is extremely blurry video. is that the case for you guys as well? the rock climbing one isnt as bad but its defiantly not good people faces look blurry. is there a way to fix this blurriness. i dont think videos should be so blurry on this device?!

It's the lighting. With dim lights, the clarity goes down for the passthrough

However, the recording was absolutely perfect compared to what I was seeing. The recording looked how this video looked. The pass through was like a 420p version though

Quest 3 is already a mind-blowing headset, 120hz refresh rate is overkill that overheats the headset and makes it unsustainable for external batteries to keep up with. Human eyes do not even have 120 refresh rate, you will "notice" the interlacing line up better ....a bit, but are all the other issues really worth it? especially when you kill it in summer in a hot room and have to try to beg a warranty replace.

On your ideapad go to device manager check the link cable under usb cables open properties of it and check to see if it’s the high link 4K usb 3.2 c cable for throughput vs the older that only does 3.0 throughout. Or research this cable “Fiber optic usb 3.2 to type C link”. That should help FPS. Let me know

Don't get the elite strap. Instead get a better strap that comes with batteries. I made the mistake of getting one before I knew they made good straps that had batteries to help the short battery life on the headset.

lol. No worries. Here u go There are three ways to activate Voice Commands once you turn this feature on: Double press / on your right Touch controller. You can turn on this feature by selecting the toggle next to Controller Shortcut under the Voice Commands tab in your System Settings. Select the Voice Commandsbutton in the Quick Settings panel. Use the wake word "Hey Facebook." Note: Using the "Hey Facebook" wake word is an opt-in experience available for some Meta Quest 2 users that can be enabled in the Experimental section of your Settings.
