Wish I had seen this video before buying.. I was shocked at the difference in REal Life. Poor youtubers for not pointing this out... Gret video and thanks for sharing. It's still a great headset but I was seriously disspointed when I first switched mine on... I actually thought it was faulty and I had 4 LED light strips and 8 Halogen bulbs in my lounge and there was plenty of light but wow...it was seriously grainy. Headband and Battery is also very very poor. However I have a small Energiser powerpack that give me an extra 2 hours when plugged in.

How much of a difference is the quality in person?

It’s probably 30% worse than videos you see on KZbin

best you never show a lighting designer how you measure lux, you'd get laughed out of the room. using a phone to measure this is borderline offensive and depends more on the capabilities of the phones camera and less the actual real world levels. two mobile phone cameras will give to very different readings. it's no different to when people use a phone to measure "flicker" on an LED luminaire.... it's just inaccurate at "best", source: 20 year tenure in the lighting industry as a designer and a designer of luminaires for a major global lighting manufacturer.

You got way too offended about this man using an app to measure the lighting in his room. We are not all "Lighting Professionals" and I don't think we need one to get quality pass-through in our headsets.
