@@diodelvino3048 So true. They have lost billions on the development, but i bet that from Meta Quest 3 they will begin to making some money, and will easily be spending even more money on this. This is the future and with more apps and games beeing development and better bodytracker, it will be crazy. Wouldn't belive that it's coming so soon and have already pre-order Meta Quest 3. Pro Apple Vision and Hololens 2 has lost their battle about AR. Meta Quest 3 will be absolute be the winner here because they are focusing with several things. Hololens 2 are more for the business, but with Meta Quest 3 it's easy to be making apps that has some focus on business like computer there we have the option to be playing games, seeing video and doing some business things and it also making it so easy to see other people in the AR are insane. I can't wait to see more of my family and friends from real world are going to buy this could easily be playing games together and have some social activies even though it's very far away. Pro Apple Vision has less functions, but has a really deep price. From $3000 and here in Norway it would be closer to $4800 that's a limit i'm not willing to be spending, when i am seeing Meta Quest 3 are better, and way cheaper. Just bhought the 512GB version because i'm going to be downloading some games to it and don't wan't to have that in mind all the time. Google Glass failed because they used to much time and had terrible glass design and was also talking so little about it. So people kept "forgetting" about it. But with Mark talking so much about the Meta Quest 3 he will be making sure that people won't forget it so it will "always" increasing popularity. And with his popularity that's helps to. I bet that he will late the people at meetings and have some futuristic environment with it. Specially when they are meeting with the investors. The value to META are going to "explode" because of this.

The big thing everyone's not talking about: replacing your flat screens. TV, Monitor, Tablet...and _eventually_ phones in a glasses package. The XBox gaming thing is the unspoken clue, because it means Microsoft and GPU board partners will have to consider supporting VR headsets as a default display. Something they have utterly neglected.

@@segoviagoodin I think it is around a 100 bucks. Maybe 200. Look at the quest pro for 999. That’s 350 more. It has way better screens with local dimming and way better tracking system in the controllers. Looks at how much those controllers cost alone. If you break it down I’d say the eye tracking and face tracking is probably around 100-200 dollars. So yeah I think the quest 3 could have the same eye and face as the quest pro for 799 at most.

Playing Xbox game pass on a giant screen while sitting in a corner. Quite honestly I’m most excited for AR a little more than VR. To combine my holograms and put them in my living space is just what I always wanted. Walk in my kitchen for my morning coffee and check the weather forecast next to the sink. Depending on how impressed I am with Quest 3, I’ll invest in the Meta Smart Glasses as well to use at the job and while I’m out and about.

Full body tracking without base stations? Maybe it's just A.I prediction based off the player's movements for the lower half of the body and not actual full body. I do hope it is actual full body tracking though.

I think you need to rewatch the video. It very specifically says "for upper body" and demonstrates its limits. Similar to how the cameras can see where the hands are for hand tracking, this technology expands the cameras' views down and outward, showcasing more accurate representations of a user's arms and torso. For example, have you ever noticed when you try to pear down by bending forward how your avatar may follow the spot at your head? With this, it is more aware that your torso is actually bending forward and will more accurately keep the avatar back and make it also bend forward. Similar thing with the arms which until now have had to estimate position based on the rotation and position of the hands, which hasn't always been accurate and has even gotten in the way such as with swordplay games. Furthermore, with more accurate upper body tracking, AI can make better predictions of legs, such as sitting vs squatting. It is not full-body tracking yet, but this may reduce the need for several trackers, especially waist and elbow trackers, and it's literally just built into the headset without base stations or IMU trackers, which is a still a good step toward the goal of full inside-out full-body tracking.

Well... At least it's a start... But the legs simulation is so stiff and limited for now. But hey, Oculus has always vastly improved their experimental features and hardware capabilities (remember how they managed to get 120 Hz on mobile hardware). VR really needs Full Body Tracking for me to dive back in completely. I love current VR, but I've had enough with that "generation".

The PPI hasn’t increased significantly. In fact it’s only increase from 18.7 to 20.1 It won’t even be noticeable. What will be noticeable is if it has more contrast and looks less washed out than the quest 2 panels. The pancake lenses will significantly reduce light bloom caused by bright whites using the quest 2 lenses.

Whelp, Pico Neo 5 Pro has the same OLED screen as the Apple Vision headset, eye tracking for foveated rendering and a DisplayPort connection. Wireless PCVR even with video compression is already fucking EONS beyond playing wired with uncompressed video unless you're talking about solely for sim-racing or other seated "cockpit games". 🤷 Wired VR absolutely fucking SUCKS, and I say that as someone who plays PCVR a lot. And that's just on Quest 2, with Quest 3's new 6GHz WiFi 6E capability AND its significantly improved compressed video encode & decoding hardware block it should make the wireless PCVR experience only that much closer to uncompressed w/ a cable! Also, lol if you actually bought those ridiculously fake ass "leaked Pico 5 specs" I have a bridge to sell you. 🤣 Literally anyone who follows the display panel industry at all could tell you that those were absolute horseshit.

Quest at least need to have full body scan, so you can scan your body and appear in other people’s house with real life size ratio like marvel movies did, and thin gloves as controllers, also they need a Wi-Fi wireless charging, or a tiny charging thing, and can charge your vr without physical connection, like Wi-Fi did. And the headset need to be as tiny as a sunglasses, with a stable prescriptions that can switch according to your eye doctors all the time, or else, you’re not a 2023 up-to-date technology, but still lingering in primitive stage of 2003.

It's mainly a hardware issue. The reason being you can't fit an RTX 4070 into a vr headset, they are massive and also cost double or triple that of the entire quest 3. Other VR headsets have better graphics, but they are 5x the price as quest 3 and require a high end PC to even use.
