When I was 12 or 13, I legit crashed the game casting rock shower against the skelebats in that room in the Blue Cave. Not even the reset button on the N64 did anything. It was a huge pain too since I only ever rented the game, it was the first time I had gotten that far and I thought I was safe, and it took forever to get there. Cheers to what is in my opinion one of the most underrated games of all time.

Has there been an effort to translate the Japanese release since they really added a lot of good QOL improvements? I love this game and have always been fascinated at the potential to play the improved version.

Remember that, after the JRPG Heaven that was the SNES, this was basically the only real JRPG out for the N64 for FOREVER. If you loved JRPGs and all you had was an N64, this was all you had for a long time. Rather uniquely as mentioned by Bingchang, this game doesn't really have a plot. You know, the thing that JRPGs were legendary for? Apparently there was a GBC demake of this game that was much better but uhm, YMMV

I don't quite get how Agility Glitch works, but I like watching the OOB sections.

Basically if the enemy you’re fighting is faster then you you can end your turn sooner then the game intends witch increases your agility stat

Bing showing us just how deadly the RNG is in this game. Was a shame the death dupe wasn't shown off due to RNG being dreadful, but nevertheless, the remainder of the run was flawless as usual. Just count his lucky spirits he wasn't running JPN for those pinheads. Maybe one day, Bing will bless the world with a PAL Holy Magic Century speedrun and perform the all mighty fence clip in that version too.

I have a question about the run, specifically the Guilty fight. Why not use the staff? At 165 spirits (even though I understand that number isn't typical for a speed run), it would hit pretty hard, and it seems like it might be more consistent than using Avalanche and praying.

Avalanche's damage is just so much better than anything else that it's worth it
