Two corrections:
I never use the wraith mound for that purpose again; I was still mentally in "wizard category" mode when I said that, where I do use that several times throughout the run.
You get the rope and grapnel when you re-enter the cave; you get the staff when you enter the final room. I said you get both when you enter the cave, which is technically incorrect.
Everything else is obviously completely correct and sexy.
