When I was 20 folks in their 50’s were promoting ways to live till 150 and they have all died. Ponce Deleon was searching for the fountain of youth but never found it. I have no problem living in a way that shows respect for the gift of life but I wouldn’t obsess over it, since that will lead to a very sad old age. I am old and live one day at a time and today is a good day!

I'm disappointed by the obsession on biohacking, since there's nothing proven beyond reasonable diet and exercise to deliver significant gains in healthy lifespan. It also distracts from very legitimate medical research targeting aspects of the biology of aging to improve human health; such researchers and companies will go through clinical trials and regulatory approval, not direct-to-consumer marketing.

Best biohack: don’t be lazy, keep your mind going, enough aerobic exercise, get necessary vitamins and minerals, don’t smoke, no illicit drugs, question any prescribed drugs, minimal alcohol, eat some veggies everyday, essential fatty acids, good fats like quality olive oil, quality chocolate, avoid getting too fat. Some dark seaweed and seafood, but not tuna or whale meat because of mercury. Everything else is fine tuning. It will improve the years you have, not necessarily extend them.

ARPA-H has a division called Scalable Solutions Office which has a governmental responsibility to ensure that any of these technologies become affordable and accessible to everyone- regardless of their income, location, etc. It will still be up to the person to decide what they want for themselves, but they have to be accessible. I don't understand the logic. The continuity of the experiment should be based on tangible results but the person in the video looks way older than his actual age. Seems to me that the exercising and eating right are the reasons for his body looking the way it does and not everything else. Equinox has always been a shady gym that likes to take advantage of people's gullibility.

Good luck with longevity in the U.S maybe in places like Greece, Italy, Portugal, Japan. Places with a lower stress (if you already made your money) refined culture, cleaner foods protected by their governments, the U.S. government doesn’t protect our food supply from Jack $h!t. Meats that come from local Farms, killed and processed fresh, Vegetables grown fresh and without chemicals that the U.S. allows but Europe doesn’t. Hardly any fast food restaurants around. Lots more walking, less driving. Less crime, more vacation time. The U.S has too many pitfalls to slip up….too many unhealthy food options everywhere. The same five big beer brands at 90% of grocery/convenience stores, unhealthy snack options, high crime.

Telomere shortening is a well-known hallmark of both cellular senescence and organismal aging. An accelerated rate of telomere attrition is also a common feature of age-related diseases. Therefore, telomere length (TL) has been recognized for a long time as one of the best biomarkers of aging. So untill we can effect this all you can do is live a heath life style

BTW I'm gonna go with my great-grandpa recipe. He died in 1984 aged 97 and he was pretty much walking till a couple of days prior to. No shade and not even trying to be rude but is there always some wealthy rich “white” person who looks like stereotypical greed mogul looking to try and extend their life as much as possible thru the use of their finances. It’s almost arrogant hence even the comment section is nuking him. Surely I can’t be the only one thinking this.

Hey! I’m 41! I have depression, anxiety, CPTSD and ptsd.I have chronic pain too.But I often get complimented to be look younger than my age.My secret is to keep going when it gets tough.Challenge yourself and listen to good music. Also, enjoy every bit of the food you’re eating! Life is too short to be worried about aging well😂
