I bought one about six months ago and I,m really impressed with it, it’s build quality and performance are excellent, I also use the nox 800 and anfibio multi, This machine is as good as the equinox in my opinion, I’m finding it hard to decide which one to use as my main machine now.

Great video I just brought one And bloody hell is it Chatting I don't know if quest messed up But all I got is a quick start guide And I can't find a manual online how do I sort it without lowering the Sensitivity could you please go in to a bit more detail Pretty please

What I'd really like to know is this: Compared to the Q30 are the additonal features offered by the Q60 worth paying twice the money?

Only if you’re moving into a more ‘professional’ place of metal detecting. So, you need those things extra features for niche environments. Gold hunting, for example. Also, the fact you can move the KHZ, means you can use it as a dedicated hoard Hunter, with that extra depth. Just slow the sweep. But for your standard weekend detectorist, there’s probably no reason too. Then again, those features are there waiting for you if you do happen upon a hoard situation, or find yourself in a gold nugget environment. Of course, the 60 has more depth as well - especially with the bigger coil, But to be honest, the 30 is ridiculously good value for money. The differences are subtle when on the field.

Hey so I have a question for you , umm so this 13 inch coil that comes stock on the q60 are there other sizes out to buy for this detector yet? Just something smaller so I can yard hunt with it , if I want to. I like the detector alot but I would definitely need more of a sniper coil for my style of hunting.

Hi I just purchased one of these based on your video of it I'm new to the hobby but wanted a decent detector to have a proper go at it but unfortunately there isn't a very informative manual in the box and I. Struggling to understand all the options plus I can't connect it on the app with my phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated or even a video as there's not a lot of uk based videos on this machine. Hope to get a response thank you in advance. Rikki.

Hi, Rikki! No idea I’m afraid. I never use accompanying apps for any model, as I have no need for them. Being new to the hobby, it would have been better to start with a simpler model such as the Q30. There’s quite a big learning curve with this model! But saying that, it should be pretty easy to get used to after a while. I’ll do a simple set up video soon

So I did look at the q30 but so many videos on KZbin saying you need a top detector to find the good stuff? So I guess I just got lured into that but the plus side hopefully is once I get used to it I will have a pretty decent machine to get out there with . Hi, now the legend has had its updates since launch, which would you go for out of this machine and the legend? The price is practically the same, would be interesting to know your thoughts. Also, is this Q60 performance that much better than the Q30 on beach and land? Would you feel confident that you'd dig the same targets pretty much based on feedback from the models?

Get an Equinox, change the stem and never look back 😜 Only drawback is, many targets fall in to the same ID range, but you can change that behavior in single frequency mode. Multifrequency is dead quiet on the wet sand and even in the water. No other VLF I‘ve tested runs that quiet. On the other hand, it can get really sparky on super tiny targets, even with the 15“ coil (due to multifrequency). The 11“ is the best of all worlds. Goldmode saved my ass a few times on difficult ground, too. Basically it‘s the best multiple machines in one detector on the market atm imho. It can do everything, and nothing really bad. Curious how the successor will look like

I’ve had a Nox since they were released. Reviewed and tested on this channel. Good in certain situations, but let me down in others. Notably pulling the small parts of a hoard up. Had to flip to a GMP in the end. I do love them on the beach though.

@@Addictedtobleeps Yeah, I have mine since early 2018. I think some people run it way too hot. It can get crazy sensitive and pick up stuff, my pinpointer isn‘t able to 😅 Lower the sens and get used to the machine. It doesn‘t loose that much depth. I’ve found euro coins at 20-25cm with sens at 16 - no problem. Ironbias works a lot better since the last updates. What I‘ve always liked about the minelabs is their audio response - nice and smooth. The quests ain‘t bad either. In the end it comes down to your budget and style of hunting.

Late reply to your review, quest are very good machines but if you have used the t2s or any fisher technetics they use the. Same technology same software, fisher technetics. Took them to court but backed down, reason fisher technetics are made in china not usa, how embarrassing, but thats. How the chinese work they yust brand it on quest, good review and yes its a good machine,
