I've been there! Funny story, my friend and I were walking around and he didn't pay attention to where he was walking and hit his head on some rusty corrugated steel that was hanging too low. Took a triangle slice off the top of his head. Had to go to the ER for it. This was during COVID so it was not fun at all haha. Hes doing good now though, I bought him a hat to wear after that.

Two things. The boat named Seahorse is a Seascout boat. I'm a leader on it. Also, Meow Man is a maritime legend. Look up the name. Famous from Maine to the Gulf of Mexico. That tag is all over.

Fun fact, the Osprey are cherished here in nj. We put nests up all over or places for them to nest all along the coast. You can enjoy them and many other birds in the meadowlands in the marshes and walk ways down in lyndhurst. Cool vid. I’m up in lake hopatcong.

Hi, i love Hearing Osprey on the rivers here in NJ. One time on the Raritan river i saw an osprey swoop down and catch a fish. it was awesome! I have to get back on the Hackensack river and check it out soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@gtm62418 күн бұрын
@@OutDehFamily my mother retired from the meadowlands commission. She used to do pontoon boat tours on the Hackensack. I am not sure if they still do them. They used to have an event River day or something too. I moved to west nj but I used to live in lyndhurst and go on the marsh walks all the time. It was minutes from my house and a must for me to have that nature escape living in what I call a war zone. Lol. Glad to hear you get out to enjoy the area. There’s so many beautiful birds that pass through. Years ago we had a snowy owl come through. What a beauty.

@@gtm624 Thanks for sharing! Your mom’s work with the pontoon tours sounds amazing. The marshes are such a great escape, and spotting a snowy owl must’ve been incredible

They still do the boat tour, but on a limited basis. I think it’s one night a week and on Saturday, two tour.

Hi Amy, that is so sweet of you to say. I drove my family crazy with questions about this video /editing. I’m so glad you like it . Have a great weekend . Thank you !

Hey I'm famous, happy that tip worked out for you. I spent a summer in a fire resistant jumpsuit, fall protection harness and a life preserver running heat trace on the docks for kinder Morgan. Trying to stay out of that water. What a cool video. What happened to the news? Look at photos from the 20s of newspapers, how big the papers were. The cost of paper went up. When the space changed the editors changed the way the news was reported. Stories had less context. TV news less context. Cable 24 hour news cycle even less. Nj had hundreds of Newspapers, independently owned local news, they were bought by conglomerates Singleton, Gannet, Goodson. Home news, daily record Asbury Park press, one owner. Now the government sidesteps the free press that was already gutted. Police department and town Facebook pages. In America the Government is now the press. It's propaganda. The old format was , news, when, where, who, A opinion page clearly marked, a Editorial page clearly marked. Unchecked capitalism destroyed the free press. Fear sells soap, fear makes people crave politics that make them feel safe. People with no understanding of basic civics destroyed the free press. Hey you asked . Lol. The above was an opinion and not necessarily the opinion of the publisher of this video.
