Similar with me. Me and my cousin were CNA's as same nursing home. Everyone kept asking if we were related because we looked alike. I never knew my dad. As it turned out, she was my first cousin.

I met my former high school History subject teacher(she's now retired) when I was in 7th grade. The second or third week of January 2003, I did hear rumors of her in school due to our same last names. My classmates asked me numerous times "Are you sure you're not related to our teacher?". The only answers I was able to give 'em was "I don't know & may be". I left school after I was done w/11th grade. Years later, I used Facebook to track her down but to no avail until I stumbled upon her younger brother on the same site(I sent him a very long-winded email via Messenger) and he told my teacher about me. And during the lockdown due to Covid(the very first one), that was when I got the answer that I was searching for through an extremely distant cousin. And it turns out that my former subject teacher is my fourth cousin once removed. Also before that, it actually turns out that this whole time we are related but we just didn't know how & how far down the family tree.
