I think a slight issue with the series is that there id essentially no way to train your cb stats fast enough to keep up with the max levels of the spins

Think that's why the xp rewards scale from the episodes. Eventually it should be a big enough number to boost them close to the tier 70 without having to do massive in episode grinds.

Yeah if you get a whip you would need 636k to go from 50 to 70, with the training methods they have that would take 20+ hours

I was going to mention this in the next episode but might aswell do it here, there is going to be a season break to allow us to upload leagues and in that time a lot of xp will be granted for higher tier stuff (this is not 100% confirmed but I'd say 95%)

Can you clarify the rule set? At the beginning of the video you said, “Whatever you have on the randomizer at the end of the video, you get to keep forever.” For example, you locked in the fury a few episodes ago. If you ROLLED the fury slot and got a new amulet, do you get to keep the fury?

Ive always loved these series but the one thing I've always thought is the xo rewards are too close. A 15k difference isn't that big of a deal. If it was 75 and let's say 40k there would be a big difference in trying to win the episode rather than the season.

@@g_ar_y7959 yea, I think the series has a flaw with the spin system. on one hand, the max level of them increases faste rthan they can keep up with. on the other hand, there are a ton of low level weapons compared to relatively few tier 70 and higher, which always skews it a bit. however, I just learned one thing about the spins (from a response by link): anything they respin during the episode is lost but if they have something by the end of the episode, it is locked in. so, link locked in his mystic staff and can now spin weapons agai. next episode without losing it. i think that wasn't explained enough in the videos, because it does have quite a bit of a tactical impact

i think the randomizer ramped up a little too fast tbh, you're spinning for potentially level 70 items when neither of you have a stat above level 50, i feel it should've been a bit more in the bracket of your actual levels instead, maybe up to level 60 at the most right now

i think its so if they get something good they can alter the build ie lets say they pull a high tier range or mage item but are base 60 in melee and 20 or 30 in range aor magic its useless unless they dump episodes into wearing it

You're on t70 and Rargh only going for 1 coll slot, like the whole point is to get coll slots unlocked for spins, seeing effectively the same fight 3 times in a row is boring. 1400+ coll slots in the game at least go for like 5 easy ones an episode?

*Edit* If you mean the bit with numbers floating up to the top - click on the XP thing in upper right. I think it's called XP drops or something. If you play on Runelite - it's baked into the client. You can have stuff pasted on left side of screen as well - Right click on skill and add to canvas or something like that. But there are a lot of plug-ins you can use as well, it could very well be a plug-in now I look a bit closer. I just restarted after years as well and have been relearning the game as an iron, I still a big noob though!

Rargh spittin' facts about the Herblore exp :p why invest exp in herblore so you can use an inventory slot to get a +2, if you can just use the exp on a combat skill and get a +2 that way. and that's not even including the fact that higher stats = faster kills = faster exp&drops

Was it ever said if CW boosting was allowed? Like, if I was in Rarghs position now, I have all the questing done that I need, so for the next 4-8 hours, best thing to do would be go to CW and go on an alt, pot DOWN stats on the alt if possible, otherwise wear negative stat gear, then on the challenge account use the free pots in CW to just kill the alt over and over AFTER scoring 1 time. I'd guess that would give at least 50k cb xp/hr, plus on average 7 tickets per hr. After 4 hours you'd have 28 tickets, which is 13 log slots, after 6 hrs 42 tickets which is 20 slots. All while getting good xp/hr

I feel like the rewards for winning need to be a bit higher. These early episodes feel almost pointless when it’s that small of an xp reward. I know the point is so that one person doesn’t catapult ahead, but with how small the rewards difference is, it feels like winning an episode is nearly pointless. Like someone could punt all the early episodes just to set themselves up for later and it wouldn’t be a bad idea

Regarding to a comment that rargh made in the video, he said that he could alch a weapon if he gets something he doesn’t want to use. Does that mean he would have to pay back the gp amount when he rolls another weapon? I think that theory wouldn’t really work.

Im just amazed Rargh hasnt spun for ring or necklace. Yes, there are garbage options there, but theres also a ton of things that would be an upgrade, particularely for ring, anything is better than the nothing he currently has. There also hasnt been combat limits to it. I like the scepter drop if he can capitalize with it, but as is, no.

It seems like the xp reward for the winner at the end of the episode is pretty negligible, at least in the eyes of a viewer. Have you guys considered doing other rewards/penalties (think missing food slots or armor slots in fights, stamina pots for an episode, extra randomizer spins, time penalty/reward, 20s no attacking during fight). I think something like these would be more fun and noticeable to us but at the same time not give an insane edge. Maybe put them all on a wheel and spin after the fight?

Just a thought but if every 7 levels is double the xp from the prior level then wouldn’t rargh basically have double the defense of link just inherently from the levels? Hence the accuracy difference?

It’s double the xp every 7 levels but in terms of the stat’s effectiveness they’re still just 8 levels apart. Partially but it feels like some unusual rng was also definitely involved.
