I went to sleep reading "Ragged Hollow Nightmare" last night. I've been plugging the Dungeon Age stuff into my home DCC campaign. Then this video pops up, and I'm thinking "I'm having Deja Vu so hard that my head hurts. This sounds SO familiar!"

I love the layout style of these game modules personally. It reminds me of the old TSR modules and how I could keep the map open from the book as I used and referenced the book. I hope the Merry Mushmen continue to use this layout style. Anyhow, great review of the module. I'm a big fan of the Merry Mushmen and have had no regrets at backing their Kickstarters.

I am obsessed with the merry mushmen adventures. I love how they find some amazing adventures in their own right and give them the beautiful layout and art they deserve. Brilliant little books.

The spanish edition of Mausritter has the cover/GM screen! Our version of the book is stapled instead of the english hardcover, but having a small and portable GM Screen always attached to the book is great. I love it, everytime I grab the book I think it's a fantastic idea and more books should do it.
@MrBraukАй бұрын
Merry Mushmen have the best stuff!! Backed all their kickstarters. I’ve run this (NoRH) using SDtwice and it was a blast. Books are organized so well you can run with nearly zero prep. Rumor and hooks are awesome. Great example of how to organize a small sandbox. Their Horrendous Hounds of Hindenburg and Obsidian Keep are also great. I appreciate the MM always selecting an adventure from Bryce’s tenfootpole “best” list.
@MrBraukАй бұрын
I agree with Ben on the sleeve & book, the lack of an outer book cover was a let down. I prefer how the Merry Mushmen did Knock vol 4 with a harder outer cover and the great book sleeve.
@helicityboson27 күн бұрын
@@MrBraukI think it's hard to hold without a solid cover, so what I've done it taken some A4 card stock, folded it in half, and then stapled it to the module (I've done this with all three of their adventures)

The way this adventure is presented reminds me of the old Slayers of Lankhmar Module from advanced D and D. It didn't get great attention at the time, but I converted it for one of my 5E campaigns some years ago and everyone loved it!!

Ran this adventure with Savage Pathfinder... It was great! The system took some tension out of the main 'clock' of the adventure (only 1 death in the Church) but my players loved it. Got their other adventure in the Kickstarter earlier this year

I agree about the cover. It would be good to have a card inner cover as well. The Merry Mushmen create amazing work. Love their stuff.
