When you know the gospel for today and the gospel of the kingdom, the question is : what gospel is a person going to be saved by during the tribulation? Can’t be the gospel of grace of God but goes back to the gospel of the kingdom through Israel. Knowing that was the biggest argument for me to know it’s pretrib.

Excellent point…what sealed the pre-trib position for me years back was understanding exactly what the purpose of the tribulation (70th week, Time of Jacobs trouble, etc.) was for…and it is specifically for Israel as a “refiners fire” to purge out the unbelieving nation from the remnant who will be saved by the Lord upon his return in Rev. 19.

The problem I'm running into are people who believe the "Wrath of God" is only near the end. So they believe the church will live through the tribulation. That robs people of the "Blessed Hope", of being rescued out of the lawlessness as Noah and Lot were.😕

I sure pray that you are right on this one and I am wrong. But I am firmly in the post rapture camp. It is my understanding that we are going to go through tribulation but not the wrath of God. Two different things. The seven years of tribulation is what man or governments do to us and then the wrath of God is what He does to mankind. At least that's my understanding. Can't tell you how much I enjoy all your teaching. As I have said before I have learned more from you probably in the last six months than I have in the last 30 years. I am extremely grateful for Romans 5:9 which says we are saved from wrath and also for 1 Thessalonians 1:10 which says we will be delivered from the wrath to come as well as for 1 Thessalonians 5:9 which says God has not appointed us to wrath. I am utterly grateful that the word of God just say, “wrath” and did not add any adjective to describe the kind of wrath we are saved, delivered from and not appointed to. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord and thank God our Heavenly Father. Why? Simply because we are saved, delivered from and not appointed to the three kinds of wrath mentioned in Revelation! Let me show you. Revelation 6: 16. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [WRATH of the LAMB] Revelation 12: 12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. [WRATH of the DEVIL] Revelation 16: 1. And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. [WRATH of GOD] We are SAVED, DELIVERED from and NOT APPOINTED to ALL the THREE KINDS OF WRATH NOT JUST the wrath of God! Thus, the rapture is pre-tribulation.

The obvious problem with your argument is that Jesus is the one who opens the first seal, hence he is directing all of the plagues, hence it is all the wrath of God. So if you are a pre-wrath believer, you are actually a pre-trib believer. Sorry to spoil your outlook.

Good stuff my brother, and while I would disagree with you on a few points in your presentation, I certainly agree with you about a rapture that PRECEDES the tribulation. What's interesting, is here it is *Oct 27th* and there are no "thumb's down" votes, AND the comment section isn't littered with negative (and often hateful) comments from those who have a hard time engaging in civil dialogue, and those tho have a hard time presenting rebuttal to the information provided. *MARANATHA!*

I'll weigh in if I may for w/ever it's worth... I think *Zeph 1* is one of a number of places that makes it pretty clear. I will paste those verses below for your consideration. Then too, we find in *Rev 1:18* saying, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the KEYS of hell and of death.” The KEYS open the door...that's a given, and so when we see in * Rev 6:8* where it says, “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was DEATH, and HELL followed with him…”, we can conclude that it’s *JESUS* who is responsible for it all, & therefore, it all classifies as *WRATH.* We see in *Rev 5* that it's Jesus who is the only one worthy to open the seals, and we find that it's HIM that opens each and every seal. If Christ initiates all of this, He becomes the direct cause of the tribulation, Also, you'll find a host of scripture passages throughout the bible where *WRATH* is used to describe famine, the sword & plagues. This is *EXACTLY* what will take place during the tribulation, _PRIOR_ to when those who subscribe to the "pre-wrath" position say God's wrath begins. But on to *Zeph 1* where we can see the entire tribulation period being described as *"WRATH"...* 14 The great DAY OF THE LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the DAY OF THE LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a DAY OF *WRATH,* a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. 17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the DAY OF THE LORD'S *WRATH;* but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

The mid trib position makes the CLAIM that the 7 seals are NOT wrath until the 6th. Can you do a video explaining that the seals in Revelation ARE wrath? I have tried to make the case but have not been convincing.
@terryjones1718
@terryjones1718 Жыл бұрын
Mid tribulationist that make that claim are half right. The resurrection is after Daniel's 70th and simultaneously begins the Day of the Lord when the 7 vials of the wrath of God is poured out at the 6th seal. Check the pattern of Noah and Lot. On the day the ark was closed (day 7) Gen 7:4-10, God's wrath was poured out. Also, on the same day Lot and family were leaving Sodom and Gomorrah, God's God's wrath of fire and sulfur rained out of heaven. Lastly, there are ONLY two resurrections spoken of by Daniel, Christ, Paul and John. One for the just (unto eternal life) and one for the unjust (unto eternal damnation) Dan 12:1-2, John 5:28-29, Acts 24:14-15, Rev 20. 1 Thess 4:13-18 begins the Day of the Lord and the resurrection of the dead concludes the day of the Lord. The body of Christ will be given into the hands of antichrist and his government Dan 7. Don't let anyone deceive you.

@Pete Jones You are teaching salvation by works, a false gospel. A man rejects the grace of God at his peril.
@terryjones1718
@terryjones1718 Жыл бұрын
@@ColumbusBibleChurch Salvation has always been by works of faith in both testaments. James tells us that faith without works is dead being alone Jas 2:17. There's an entire chapter devoted to faith by works as examples to the NT believer Heb 11. James further stated that works perfects/completes faith James 2:22. Even the thief on the cross was saved by the works of confessing Christ on the cross for his pre-pentecost salvation. Turning away from sin and water immersion in Christ name is a salvation work Mark 16:16, Act 2:38. According to the pretribulationist ideology, those caught in Daniel's 70th week have to refuse the mark and give their head to be saved. Those are the works that will save them. Lastly, Rev 22 says something specific about inheriting eternal life. “Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may have right to the tree thelife, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” - Revelation 22:14 (KJV) If one does not DO Christ's commandments, there is no eternal life. Be careful of what you call false gospel. On this issue, seems like the Bible disagrees with you.

@@ColumbusBibleChurch For starters, a believer must, with the help of the Spirit, make dead the deeds of carnal man every day Rom 8:13, Colo 3:5. Because it is God working in the believer to desire to do his good pleasure, but you must make the choice to obey Phil. 2:12-13. I'm sure you're aware that the Master is returning for a people who are without spots, wrinkles or blemishes (sin) because he keeps clean those that DO his Word Eph 5:26-27, Jas 4:7-10, Heb 12:1. Part of doing his Word is adding/maturing in spiritual areas of life. We are promised that if we do so, we'll be able to see far off and won't be barren in producing fruit. We're also admonished that if we love God and our neighbor in this way, we will never sin and an entrance into the everlasting kingdom will be abundantly ministered to us 2 Pet 1:5-11, 1 John5:1-3. All of these things are faith by works. This is why the angel said, “Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” - Revelation 22:14 (KJV) No believer HAS to sin, but should you choose to, confess and forsake your transgressions. HE is faithful and just to forgive you because HE is your advocate John 1:8-10, 1 John 2:1. I pray 🙏 this helps all of us to be without sin. Love you. Be blessed 🙌.

IDK why, but it really chaps my hide when a blood bought believer doesnt believe in the rapture. Obviously we are patient, but that is one big sign that they arent righly dividing. Also, I always make sure they arent a "saved by grace BUT..." person. IDK why, but post tribers always seem to be hell bent on "showing God that they can endure" or proving that "you gotta live it". I wish we could be of one mind... le sigh!

A simple logic to the timing of the rapture as shown in the scripture. 👇 Whom will God cast into the great tribulation? Answer 👇 Revelation 2: 22. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. This verse clearly tells us whom God will cast into the great tribulation. Does the description of whom God will cast into the great tribulation in this verse fit the description of believers in Christ? Are believers, people who have trusted Christ for the forgiveness of sins and have eternal life and live eternally with Him are also among those described in Rev 2:22 who will be cast into the great tribulation? Even if those who commit adultery with the woman Jezebel repent, God will spare them the great tribulation. Why then does God not spare us who have put our trust fully in Him and already have eternal life? Thus, I find it extremely illogical that we who have eternal life need to be put through the great tribulation when those in Rev 2:22 if they repent, they will be spared of such horror. To those who say the rapture is not pre-tribulation, my question is why are we not spare? That is strange and truly doesn’t make sense.

David, I've given this some careful consideration. With regard to the following verses: 2 Thessalonians 2:3-7 [3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. [5] Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? [6] And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. [8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Verse 3 concludes with the son of perdition being the subject matter. The subject matter for "him" isn't referenced otherwise again until it is referring to the Lord in verse 8. The "whom" in verse 8 is "that Wicked" which then resumes to be the reference of "him" in verse 9 once again as, "Even him" The only significance of this observation is that it changes the context of verse 7 such that every "he" is applied to the son of perdition which precedes (his) revealing of that Wicked. It's true that the "withholdeth" in verse 6 and the "letteth" in verse 7 are both G2722, however, there is a difference in the translation to English between the two verses for a reason. God's word is impeccable and not arbitrary, I trust we all believe. So then, the most concise definition that I read for the addition of the suffix, "eth" to a verb is that it's a way of conveying a continual action whereas without the suffix, it's only a one-time occurrence. With those things said, verse 7 appears to read something like: Satan's mystery of iniquity is continually at work: only the son of perdition who now continually works will work (all at once, a finale) until the son of perdition is taken out of the way. As far as I can tell, this is the only way that the pronouns maintain consistency and thus we're not making the assumption that Paul is writing so ambiguously that we would have to assume that one "he" is the son of perdition and another "he" is the Lord Jesus Christ within the same sentence. All other writings are exact to the letter and this ought not be any different. ... Great points in the video, by the way. Thanks as always for the teachings. May God continue to bless you and your church!

Thank you for your comment. Very thorough. Are you using your analysis as proof against a pre-Trib Rapture, or just to caution against mis-using verse 7 as corroborating evidence? Also, please clarify how, if the “he” in verse 7 is Satan, does the “And then that Wicked shall be revealed . . .” make sense. If verse 7 is pointing to a time of Satan’s influence/presence being removed, what is the source of “that Wicked” and the associated place on the 7-year timeline in verse 8? I’m guessing you’re going to say it means that only after Jesus intervenes and conquers/removes the “he” will anyone know the “he” has been “that Wicked”--a reference to Satan, himself. That’s more than a little hard to believe. Among other things, God will, by the end of the seven years, have been protecting the believing little flock in the mountains outside Jerusalem for 3 1/2 years. Is it conceivable they might not know they’ve been dealing with Satan? I’m going to answer my own question--and in the process maybe offer support for your view by explaining a theory of mine I don’t hear taught much if at all. I think the heavenly battle described in Rev 12, where Satan and his demons are permanently kicked out of heaven, coincides with the mid-point of the 7 years when Antichrist receives a mortal wound but is seemingly brought back to life. While Satan has always been great at counterfeiting God, only God has the power to bring life back to the dead. I do not believe the evil human being called Antichrist actually experiences resurrection. I believe, as Satan is cast from heaven, he immediately or shortly thereafter possesses the dead body of Antichrist and attempts to continue his heavenly battle from earth. That would certainly explain the ramp-up of evil from the Tribulation (first 3 1/2 years) to the Great Tribulation (second 3 1/2 years), as the last unbelievably horrific events are titled. Maybe, under your theory, God’s total Armageddon destruction of the enemy includes a dramatic reveal of just who planet earth has been dealing with for the last 3 1/2 years--that would, in my opinion, be a logical interpretation of verse 8. Your thoughts?

The problem with teaching that rapture happens or comes before the great tribulation is, That Jesus Christ never ever said nor told His disciple about a rapture nor did he tell them he would come and rapture them up and out of the world. And The word tribulation does not mean wrath nor Judgment. But Trouble, severe trial, suffering, affliction, etc. Now got read Matthew chapter 24:3-31? they, Peter and Andrew, James and John, asked Jesus, When will these things happen? 2). What is the sign of your coming? 3). and the end of the world? There is no pre-tribulation rapture before the great tribulation! now go look up the word Tribulation and Wrath. The wrath of God and the lamb start at the coming of Jesus Christ after the great tribulation.

It seems to me, that the wrath of God is poured out with the 7 bowls. That is the wrath of God. It follows the 7 seals, 7 trumpets (and 7 thunders). That is, what we will not experience. But before the 7 bowls - is this also the wrath of God, or is this a wrath of Satan? Second: If the wrath should have come during the Stevens days, how all the profecies about all people looking at the two witnesses in Jerusalem at the same time, could be fullfilled? Today it can be due to TV. But in Pauls time? And what about the mark of the beast? Noone can buy or sell - it can be realized only by some digital currency. Not in Pauls times. I woud like to be caugth up before all this trouble, but this teaching does not persuade me. Sorry, I rather hold to my Bible.

Another wonderful proof of a pre-Trib Rapture is 2 Timothy 2:18. If you want to mess completely with an Amillienalist’s mind try this: Ask them to what resurrection is 2 Tim 2:18 referring. An Amill thinks the one and only resurrection is at the 2nd Advent, after which everyone is judged and the saved enter eternal life in the new heaven/new earth. Well, if that’s true the false teachings of Hymenaeus and Philetus had convinced otherwise sane believers they had bypassed the resurrection and were living where/when??? In the eternal state already?? Certainly that is not what these false teachers were proposing. No, they were spreading the lie that those alive then had missed a resurrection and, like the 2 Thessalonian lie, had “shaken/troubled” the minds of some believers. The ONLY other option as to what resurrection these false teachers referred is the raising of some of the dead at Christ’s death--Not really a viable option since a) that miraculous sign effected only a few, certainly not every one of the faithful dead, and b) at the writing of 2 Tim that incident was 30 plus years old. It had to be evident by that point that at least some of the raised dead had aged/become sick and died again. There is zero evidence they had heavenly, eternal bodies.

Getting save the Biblical way from a KJV The Gospel for today is 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV 1611 1. Man is a Sinner in the Eyes of a Holy God. Isaiah 53:6, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.” Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 2. There is a Price For Our Sin―Burning in Hell Forever. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” 2nd Thessalonians 1:8, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Revelation 20:15, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” 3. Jesus paid that price by dying on the cross and shedding His blood; Christ was buried and bodily rose again the third day! Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” 1st Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ...” 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” This is the Gospel. 4. By faith in Jesus Christ's blood atonment on the cross ALONE, we are immediately saved. (its is the power of his Shed Blood) Repent: Biblically speaking is "Change of mind" from unbelief to belief (1st Corinthians 15:1-4 Faith/belief in what Jesus did and him alone with bloodshed which saves. You can't have the Remission of sins without the Blood. It's not of any works of yourself or you're lost still; saves in the current church age, nothing else)*This changes in the Tribulation for example. Endure to the end or get your head chopped off Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Hear and believe what you hear in your head and understand it. Apply it to your heart of hearts and believe by faith) Romans 3:25, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;” Salvation is NOT found in a religion or good works, but in a Man... The LORD JESUS CHRIST! It isn't the prayer that saves you, folks. It is the Belief in the Gospel itself *the church age Gospel given of Paul the apostle My friend, Many folks attempt to lead people to pray a sinner's prayer to be saved. Although this is not wrong to do, it is an extra step that the Bible does NOT require, which may confuse some people. The prayer itself isn't whats saves. This is the difference. You don't have to “ask” Jesus to save you, because God has already promised, “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21). We read in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life” [emphasis added]. The way to be saved is to BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!!!
