If you're playing a board game about politics, like Kremlin or Roman Republic, it'd be kinda hard to not have politics in the game. Any modern political game would have the same issue.

Modern politics? Maybe. As long as everyone is mature about it. Politics in a historical context? Go right ahead. To me as long as everyone is having fun and no arguments or fights are being started I have zero issues

Wasnt sure where else to ask, but do you still have a discord server? I couldnt find a link

I do, it’s not a community server so I have to give the link each time. Here it is: discord.gg/RGwuKNuK It’s good for 7 days.

@@thewarroom6118 Thank you! I actually don't know the difference between types of servers, sadly. Anyway, love your content!

If it's part of the theme, sure. If it's shoed in just to virtue signal or promote ideology, no. It will ruin the hobby if we allow it. Just like it ruined comic books and movies.

The existence of homosexual people isn't political, it's every day life.
@thewarroom61186 ай бұрын
Of course. But no one told politicians that. Unfortunately people are always turned into political poker chips.

That's a common refrain but it's largely undermined by homosexuality being heavily advertised and pandered to in media. The same thing can be said about religion: it's normal to have a religion, but if a game or movie forces in random, overtly polygamist Muslim characters and explicitly addresses Islam's positive traits then you can't imagine it'd be called anything but advertising a religion.

@@Steven-cf1ty Your analogy needs a lot of work. I have no idea what you are talking about with that comparison. No one is pandered to more than Christians in media but many have too much of a persecution complex to ever notice.
