Jason, I am so grateful for the work you and Alison and your colleagues are doing to get this information out there. There is literally like NO ONE else doing that. Hard to believe. You are heroes. God bless.

Interesting topic for sure, and I agree your main critique that these tools are never used to examine their own bias is the biggest flaw in their entire argument. The establishment could not survive unleashed truth. And we quickly enter into the noble lie territory. Same holds when they say, "what would it take to change your mind?" Not seemingly able to realize that that same question could be asked of them. Psychology works both ways. Peer pressure is probably the most used & effective tactic. Especially to the northern western mind, adapted to cold weather climates, where it wasn't that long ago ostracism would lead to almost certain death. 9/11 is a great example of how complicated truth seeking can be. There are certainly limited hangouts within "conspiracy" circles. Judy Woods is the most maligned character in conspiracy circles and mainstream, so much so that I dismissed her based on this almost universal condemnation. Then I read her book. Limited hangouts and bad actors within the movements themselves are a recognized feature of CT. Range from useful idiots to CIA operatives; you don't actually need many people to muddy waters, that is all that is really required by the establishment at this point. I feel it is important to dig into underlying world views, especially the ones you personally base your ontology on. For example, discover the inherent nihilism in modern day cosmology, and it's materialistic foundations. How it give rise to post modernism etc... Good talk! I appreciate the level of work you and your group do. I enjoy the specifics you are able to tug and mold into a consistent narrative. It fits! I believe a these systems are already fully active and are best described as military grade. They are certainly modeling behavior. Most likely to the point that their models and reality are blurring. For example if they model an event in simulated space, in which they like the results; then go live with that even in meat space; where does the separation of reality and the real exist at that point? I also wonder that if some of these events only exist in the simulation, and released into the wild through our screens as real events...? Things get real blurry pretty quickly. Soon we will have our own personal real time generated realities (screen space,) specifically tailored to our personality type and modified to elicit specific behavioral outcomes. Fun times. Enjoy the ride; buckle up! We are just getting warmed up.

i see this epidemiological approach pop up all the time. most salient and the first one to use the 'innoculation' metaphor that i am aware of is the silly COIN masters thesis from 2006 "Memetics: a growth industry in US military operations" "Using the analogy that ideologies possess the same theoretical characteristics as a disease (particularly as complex adaptive systems), then a similar method and routine can/should be applied to combating them. The connecting points are then two-fold. First, the ideology must be acknowledged as the disease and memes the proliferation method. While current US military practices may view ideologies as diseases, they do not acknowledge the emergent properties of memes as the disease vector. Second, to amplify this disparity, there is a nexus at the crossroads of sociology, anthropology, cognitive science, and behavioral game theory that can help us to intentionally persuade (inoculate) large audiences (or hosts) through subtle or overt contact. The germane components of sociology, anthropology, cognitive science and behavioral game theory in analyzing memes requires further study and analysis but are beyond the scope of this examination."

Have you checked out jim rutt show on KZbin? 52 living ideas KZbin? Marshall McLuhan? MM was saying they would do this when they were able to. Back in 1950s and 1960s.

Wow, really? McLuhan is the first thinker that you hear of when you study “communications” at university. He’s famous for the expression “the medium is the message”, to mean that no matter what you talk of on a (mass) medium, the sole fact of doing it through that medium has an effect and a meaning in itself.

This whole study is so profoundly stupid. It is amazing that folks waste their lives in such nonsense. Seems like the social scíences have been militarized.
