0:33 Humans are social animals and live in groups. In Far East Asians sight, the phrase ‘only my game’ may seem quite strange. Because 'that game' does not exist. My body was given to me by my parents, so is it possible to think of it as my own and treat it carelessly? So in Korea, in order to show off oneself, it has evolved into a form of subtly showing off one's individuality.

Interesting that when the curly-haired girl commented about Asian cultures allowing individuality but not in situations where there is a group all heading in the same direction, the girl answering revealed it as being individual to _compete_. Not just to be herself.

There are obviously still individual differences within a homogenous culture, but the point is that people are encouraged to repress those differences in favor of fitting in. Collectivist countries elevate the interest of everyone over any single person. In terms of jaywalking when there's no traffic, comparing SK to China is apples to oranges. Crossing the street when it's red will impact your social credit score in China because CCTV is everywhere. It's not merely about the pedantic adherence to rules.

Is Social credit score really a score like driver license points? Like, do you really get points fined for jaywalking and get caught on camera?

I'm not sure social credit score that people in the West think of is actually a thing. I'm pretty sure that was an idea that got spread around and exacerbated as a real system in place nation wide.
