It's amazing how many Americans are unaware of their Christian heritage and how it has the power to change lives for the better. Kiribati, where I'm from, was also blessed by a US Christian Missionary named Dr Hiram Bingham and his wife Clarissa Bingham. Dr Bingham was the one who gave us our written language when he gave us a Gilbertese/Kiribati Bible. Even wikipedia does not get all of the facts. He did not only translate the English Bible into Kiribati. He also gave us our first written language. Before, we do not have books and writings - everything was passed down verbally. Through Dr Bingham's service, we have the written language we have today. Sadly some liberals (who sat on the Board of Education) had changed how some of the words are written to suit their liberalism and mostly catholic views (Catholics have been trying to cancel the significant contribution of American Protestants since then). I challenge the Christians in the US to not forget the Christians on the islands also, not to give them material things but to encourage them so that this kind or liberalism and overreach you are experiencing does not grow to the extend it is now. I know for a fact it is growing at an alarming rate. An example is this. I have had the Covid vaccine though I do not want my children to have it because, I've had blocked nose since I had it. Now this is being forced on them by the ministry of health and even the church schools are perpetuating this and if the kids do not have the vaccine, they will not be allowed to go to school and because my kids want to go to school, they had it anyway without my consent which makes me sad because I don't know what the impact it might have on their growing bodies. Which again brings me to my point: we need each other as Christians to fight and take action. On one of the issues Ms Gabriel spoke about; I hope you realise how blessed you are. It is heartening to see that there are still Christians living in the US who do not take for granted their privileges and freedoms and always stand on Christian values, and how I wish it is not too late to turn the tide around.
