Questions you should ask about St.John's College Annapolis

I interviewed four current students at St.John's College about how they think about this school. My motivation for creating this video is to answer questions that the school website doesn't answer.

More than 50 years ago I visited St. John's as a Prospective Student during the winter break of my senior year in high school, and had a positive experience in interacting with students there and asking the sort of questions you've raised. Good video. Makes me want to go back and do it again (best four years of my life, SF '69). It would be great if you could do a similar video with students on the Santa Fe campus. And possibly one that highlights the differences as well as the similarities between being a student in Annapolis and a student in Santa Fe. Of course, in the meantime, keep up with your classes. One thing I would say to students present and future--engage those four years for all they are worth. It's a unique opportunity available to you only once.

A couple of comments want your video to be more like other college KZbin videos i.e. show more, say less. I disagree; SJC is for the most part a very ‘talky ’ place and if your ‘talky ’ presentation doesn’t appeal, neither probably will the college. That is not to say the others are wrong or that other things might not be said/shown, just that what you do do seems quite true and central to the place I remember.

The way I understand it...at St. John's reading is at the center unlike at universities where reading is at the periphery unless you're studying creative writing or literature.

learning to listen is a big part of St John's which i don't think is really taught at other schools, listening to a lecture isn't really listening -- it's information acquisition, which is something different
