Questlove Bakes in Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar Test Kitchen | Table for 2 | InStyle

Everybody knows Questlove is obsessed with music, but his other passions run just as deep. He’s a foodie who occasionally hosts salon-style dinners, an author focused on the art of creativity (he’s written two books on the subject), and a popcorn fanatic (be on the lookout for a line of seasonings he’s launching this fall with Williams Sonoma).
So when Christina Tosi, Milk Bar founder, MasterChef judge, and ingenious baker, invited Questlove to a popcorn cake-layering lesson plucked from her upcoming cookbook, All About Cake, the musician couldn’t contain his excitement. “That is right up my alley,” he said.

What is wrong with me??! This popcorn cake looks as Mr. beautiful Questlove says, so “awesome” that I should make this cake, but I always make the birthday cake. My absolute favorite.❤️…Anyhow love you always and your childlike and whimsical take on baked goods. You got me at “replicating the boxed birthday cake from childhood” and your hold on me forever came when you said “cereal milk.” Mr. beautiful, soulful and supersonic Questlove, you put the soul in my summers. Love so much how you captured the spirt and magic of the summer of soul. Your Oscar win was so deserving.

Just saw the video with your nieces. I have two nieces like you. Unfortunately they are allergic to all dairy, gluten, and nuts. I wish I knew how to bake with them without endangering their health and still make something delicious.
