And the fact that many people have been talking about Will Smith's slap, i don't think Fallon needs to repeat it again and again. there's really nothing new he could say as the slap only happened for like 3 minutes, sure it's fun to discuss but it gets overused and boring. The one thing that grabbed my attention from the moments after Chris Rock announced the winner for the documentary, was what Quest Love did or did not do. This turned my stomach even further. Prior to seeing this video, all I heard was that people felt sorry for Quest Love and how his moment was stolen. Fair. However, after I saw the full video, it changed my mind. As Quest walked near the stage, he and Will do that hand-hug thing men do. All smiles. Then Quest goes up on stage and takes the statue from Chris Rock as one does from a trophy girl, no eye contact, no hand on shoulder, no whisper in ear "you alright?", no fist bump, no smile, no nothing. I played it over and over again to imprint in my mind Chris' expression in these moments. After Quest's speech, they all walk off, Chris tries to engage Quest with words, while Quest keeps a distance from him. Chris' expression says it all. How he must have felt. I watched this as a mother might her son. It broke me to think how traumatizing the whole assault was to Chris and then have to go through the reception or lack of reaction. How humiliated he must have felt, How alone he must have felt. And so, you can understand when supposedly Chris didn't want to press charges in that moment. No one seemed to be on his side. He just wanted to leave. It's like someone raping you in front of a crowd and no one helps. Everyone high fives the rapist after the fact and then they all act like nothing happened. When the police finally come and ask you what happened? You say, "nothing" that you just want to go home. That producer cared only about keeping his show going. Quest only thought about his moment. Quest and Jimmy Fallon made no mention about the incident on Fallon's show. A crime was committed in front of all of them, and all they thought about was themselves and their moment. Find and watch that clip. It'll make you feel sick. Did you know that earlier in the show, one of the female hosts made a joke about that ridiculous couple and their "open marriage" fiasco, the kid she slept with? No one got assaulted then.

Props to Jimmy too for not pressuring Questlove on his thoughts of the dumbassness of what happened immediately before he got his award & focusing it only on him
