A great job. And a great KZbin channel..continue I would like to know how you do to trade CALENDAR SPREADS on the SPX ... I was surprised that on Questrade you need a buying power of + $68,000 for a single contract (BUY CALL Calendar)? (SPX is an European options type) I want too to know if Interactive Broker does the same calculation or not ... since it is not a Canadian broker but it accepts Canadians ... may be things are different here. I see all traders in USA trade Calendars SPX with a very low BP ..

hi can you confirm @ 7:17 instead of putting a number i can put a parentage? Therefore instead of calculating manually 2% of a stop loss i can just put number 2 and change the symbol to percentage

Hi Zac I have a question for you.. How can I place an order to buy one stock with bracket when the price I want to buy is higher than the current price. Current price $100 Buy Price $102= Profit Limit $107= Stop price $ 97= The buy price is bigger than current price. The regular order buy right away at $100 and I want to buy $102 ( when the price break a resistance) Thanks,

Can you explain trailing stop loss Buy Order. Can you set it up so you buy the lowest price possible? On the explanation Trailing Stop Loss in Questrade, it indicates that you could place a Buy Order using trailing stop loss to get in at the best possible price. Thank you

THIS IS WAY TOO COMPLICATED. IS THEIR ANYTHING WITH STRAIGHT QUESTRADE GRAPHICS. I WANT TO BUY AN OPTION, THEN SELL OR TAKE PROFIT AT MY OWN WHIM ON THE PROFIT. I WANT TO GET OUT AT 15 PERCENT LOSS IF TRADE GOES AGAINST ME. HOW IS THIS DONE ON QUESTRADE

It is unclear how stop limit order works exactly from the video. For example, If we place stop at 100 and limit at 80, does it mean that when price falls at 99 and lower broker will start selling shares immediately at 99, 98.50, 96 until price falls to 80 and stop selling under this price? Or after price falling under 100 broker just place limit order at 80 for full amount of shares? And why not just to place regular limit order in advance at 100 or 80?

Is it possible to save our preference for the stop loss? For exemple I want to place an order and I always want to have my stop loss 20 cents under the actual price of the stock ou a certain pourcentage.

I am trying to do what you are doing by adding a stop sell and a limit sell to an existing position. I keep getting an order rejected and a message about cross zero orders that must be enabled. could you explain what this means before I check the box. It's a TFSA by the way.

@@cdmustard I phoned questrade. the answer I got was that if the sell order is too close the the buy price they won't allow it. I was buying at eod and trying to sell the next at 2% but they wanted a larger margin. It makes you think they are working against you sometimes. Anyways I am learning python now so I can do things on my end. Not sure I will keep questrade as a broker though.
