Oh, excellent, Josh. Kickstand/pedal jam up fired off a 60 yr blast back in time. New Rode sounds great!

Longboard fender reality in the real world. Your mudflap solution is great. They also can vacuum up sticks and branches under the front wheel and can toss you into the weeds, even with the quick release. Ask me how I know. 😂

Thanks pal! Stick vacuum duly noted!!!

Sound was great, man. I just ordered a set of Planet Bike Big Buck's for my Minnesota fat bike. I should've ordered some years ago.

Boy I like those big bucks. Be aware that the snow will pile up around your bottom bracket. That’s what I’ve found anyway.

I gotta get proper foot wear for rainy days and what do you recommend for your video software you use
@EriebyCycle

The old bread bags in the shoes works in a pinch. Hit the thrift shops for rainy day footwear. Use whatever free software you find works best for you… there’s tons of it available. iMovie is great if you have apple devices.

Just chipping in, inShot is a good editor for working on an android phone or tablet but I'd agree with Josh iMovie is good if you dig Apple.

I thought about it a minute and figured this sort of thing shouldn’t be completely lost… the spontaneity is what makes it fun. To me anyway.

How do you like them I was thinking of getting them for the gravel bike

They work as they should. I think I like SKS fenders better because they have two supports in the front instead of just one.

I'm putting the fenders back on my beast cause it's covered in wet leaves n crud. What was the microphone doohickey?

I love fenders. I wish people in the US called them Mudguards though. The mic is a Rodeo wireless .
@DIY-DaddyO

@@EriebyCycle Yes Mudguards is what we call them and they work brilliantly. Some people like a brown streak up there back as a badge of honour. 😂😂😂 Rodeo sounded nice, deep n clear.

Looked at a $30 kit online, then ended dropping $70 at Adams to protect my arse now! Still gotta set it up.

All of my fenders came from there too. Totally worth the money if you want to stay dry this time of year.

Still need to do the front fender. We'll see if I can make my own mud flap. I have the tools and a zip tie... Just need material.
@EriebyCycle
@EriebyCycle Жыл бұрын
@EastWindCommunity1973 today is the day for it. You could use just about anything… doesn’t have to be rubber. I had saved the boot to use the leather tongue for the flap. And best thing is if you find what you have used doesn’t work how you want, you can always take it off and try something else.

I use Velo Orange long fenders on my bikes, and I add mudflaps. Have no idea how people can live with short fenders! On the E bike I got from my dad it has short modern fenders, and that bike is useless ond days with any moisture! Short fenders ruin chains and shoes. Strange thing is that it's actually hard to find good fenders. It should be the first thing people replaced on a ned bike!
@EriebyCycle

I have a set of VO fenders going on a dedicated winter beater… very fussy to get them where you want them. But I agree with you- modern short fenders would be worthless for the winter monsoon season for sure.
@CandidZulu

VO have changed the hardware, maybe you have an older pair. I find them very un-fussy!@@EriebyCycle

@@CandidZulu I have a nice, but second hand set. Maybe they have some bend to them or something… or maybe I’ve got a case of the hands of shit…
@CandidZulu

I would have a look at the bracket that holds the fender to the frame/fork. If it's not centered it will cause problems. VO used to have a bracket that you folded over. It was crap, I made my own instead.@@EriebyCycle
