I was very intrigued by your manicotti recipe because i have been making stuffed shells for over 40 years. It is one of my signature dishes i make my brother for the Holidays. I made them today with ricotta cheese, sausage, eggs and mozzarella and parmesan cheese and garlic powder and salt and pepper without cooking the sausage. Wow! They turned out great. What a game changer. So much less work. Thanks for showing this old lady a new trick. Long time subbie here, love your channel.

Girl, I hope you know what a great influencer you are! I have never followed someone I didn't know's recommendation for things so much. But you are just so approachable and relatable. I love your cookbook (your way of cooking rice changed the game for me, and my household has been enjoying so many of your recipes), and I love your recommendations (Cook Once, Eat All Week has so many good recipes that I've made standalone, when I don't like all the meals). These videos are so needed right now. Thank you. And thank you for being such a genuine soul. I do appreciate everything you do. 💚

For the potato soup, if you don’t have an inversion blender, give it a few smushes with a potato masher. It’ll break up some of the potatoes and will thicken it, while still leaving bigger chunks.

Everything looks delicious! I appreciate the videos helping us save on groceries and I love crockpot meals the best!! With the chicken burrito bowls, I would thicken that soupy broth with a corn starch slurry. It might turn it a bit pink but yum! Also, the manicotti dish - try Italian sausage to take it to the next level. So yummy! Thank you Jen!

Yup the chilli dogs look really good! My husband would love that sausage in the manicotti, I will for sure be trying that recipe out. I usually stuff the manicotti with ricotta and mozza mixture. The sausage would give it lots of flavor! 🥰

I got the 73/27 chubs of ground beef from walmart maybe 6 months ago for $1.50/lb. It was such a good price I was okay with buying the more fatty meat. I bought 9 but I would have bought more. I was happy and thankful to have them in my freezer as ground beef prices exploded. I have I think 5 left. I mostly use it for pasta meat sauce.

Hey Jen! Yum! Manicotti sounds really good right now! That is such a great idea to cook hot dogs in the crockpot. That would be great for a party. I cook my rice that way too. But I didn't know to fluff it and let it sit for a bit. I will try that next time. I just made some today actually. It does tend to clump. Ive got to try your Manicotti recipe. So much easier to not have to pre cook the sausage. Everything looked delicious! I hope you have a great rest of your week!🥰 By the way, Love your nails!

Three of the four are great for me. I am a weirdo and do not like chilli so I'm good w/a plain Hotdog with a bit of ketchup. (Yes, I was the kid who messed up the drive-thru line because I had to order my burgers plain. It wasn't good enough to just scrape the mustard, ketchup, onions and pickles off; i had to have my cheeseburger plain.) The other three recipe sound great especially the potato soup. I didn't grow up eating soup so I don't really like it very well but occasionally my mother would take leftover mashed potatoes and make potato soup out of them. I have found a favorite restaurant locally that makes the best potato soup I've ever had and I would love to have the recipe. I'm thinking yours might be pretty close except they leave the potatoes chunky which you could easily do. I will definitely give it a try! I appreciate the recipe for homemade marinara. I am sure it is better then most anything you can buy in a jar although having a couple jars on hand is a really nice shortcut to have in case you are pressed for time some evening. Thanks Jen!

Chicken burrito bowls look delicious! I tried the baked rice a couple weeks ago - did half white/half brown rice. I let the rice sit in the water for an hour or so because I prepped it too early and didn’t read carefully enough to catch the boiling water part. Delighted to report that despite my best efforts to mess the recipe up, the rice baked up perfectly tender and fluffy! 😂😁

As a Canadian the cheap prices of your dairy (and eggs) always boggles my mind. 2 bucks for a pound of cheese? Unheard of here. And dairy is really increasing in prices due to the higher prices charged by Canadian dairy commission. (I’m pretty ok with supply management though, and the quality of our dairy and eggs)
