Today on Dice Chatter we are making some modular dirty and muddy roads! Whether it is Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, Dungeons and Dragons, Frostgrave, or any other wargame on the tabletop, these muddy roads will add some needed ambiance to your dark setting! This is a great way to get started in terrain building for new folks and those that are experienced tabletop crafters as well.

The wizard stuck around to do the outro despite being snubbed in the intro - now that's professionalism!

He needs the attention. Otherwise his powers will fade and his ability to attract people to hit the "like" button will be lost forever... 😑

Quick and easy with a good result, thanks for sharing this! Those tiles look really handy, it’s always tricky to find something that is thin, stays flat and is easy to work with to use as a base for terrain pieces like these. Seems like you found the secret ingredient!

No problemo! And I agree, there are only a few builds that I can’t imagine not using peel and stick tiles.

Nice technique. To save one step, you could mix brown/black paint with the acrylic sealant, or just buy brown sealant to start with. Also makes it less noticeable if they get damaged by clumsy players!

You really took the high road with this video Donny, but I was sad to see you kick your wizard to the curb. Well, The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can.

Best place to buy these tiles as singles? Every place i go locally in Canada only sells em by the pack (24) and thats way more than I’d need. Yours look amazing and i’d love to emulate them!
@DiceChatter
@DiceChatter 3 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, larger packs are the only way they are sold. I will say I made 6 roads and went through 3 tiles. Also, I use the tiles for just about every other terrain build as well, so I'd say it is worth the purchase price. But I wish you luck finding singles!

Does the cover on the sticky side ever come loose? Great video. Thanks
@DiceChatter

I generally remove the cover paper over the vinyl tile so this issue doesn’t occur. Just a little PVA and it’s no longer sticky!

Hi again, unfortunately I've added neat pva glue to the sticky side of the tile, to no avail - it's sticky as ever. Tried it twice. It's now difficult to hold to bevel, or to apply caulk to. Any thoughts on what I might do? Thanks
@chrisrobinson196
@chrisrobinson196 8 ай бұрын
@@stephenbarker7793 I'd suggest taking some regular paper and pressing it down on the surface to replace the cheaper backing paper the tiles come with. You'll need to trim it off again, or you can apply it before cutting. I'm curious about warpage, I've had that happen with floor tiles, but I was using cheaper ones, better quality ones or thickness may help.
