man i dont know if its my angle or what but when i do it my nose always points too far down even if i try to cancel asap and my car turns the opposite way of my flip. for example if i flip to the left my nose is facing down and im faceing to the right. i can get a simular angle but cant seem to land the proper flip before you get into the air roll stage kinda thing

They both act the same if u flip correctly. Ur air rolling a little bit to correct yourself on landing either way, so for the most part its the exact same

I’m learning speed flip. Do you go from 11 o’clock to 6 o’clock or go to 5 o’clock for the cancel?

if you are speedfliping to the left (flip to11 o’clock) then you must cancel it either to 6 o’clock or 7 o’clock, but its actually wrong if you cancel to 5 o’clock. personally, i prefer canceling it to 7 o’clock since i can hold free air roll the entire way and the car will quickly rotate back to its original position. thats how i see every pro doing their speedflips without directional air roll

Good luck, I have found a few and they all say different things. The closest I’ve been able to get is tilting the nose slightly down and to the side, then using a side flip. But I only match the speed like 1 in 4 tries. Also don’t take this as advice, it might be very wrong

I quit playing rocket league in 2019, I was champion 2, I started playing again this past month, ive practiced speedflips for hours, maybe thousands of times, I just cant make a single one. Like I can do flip resets, air driblings, ceiling shots with the musty flick to the backboard and double tap, im not bad, but i just cant make a single speedflip fr, and im not stupeed, I follow every step perfectly. Edit: And the worst thing is, maybe i have done a speedflip, how do I know? Maybe I have done it correctly but I dont realize, I hate it, first time it happens to me in any videogame.

I have tried for literal years to speed flip and STILL cannot do it consistently. It feels easier once I have momentum but on kickoff I almost never get it correctly and get beat. It's really annoying lol since have grinded it out and tried pretty much everything to make it work. Where as I can see other people at my level on kickoff with perfectly straight instant speed flips.. another thing is the musty training pack is hella janky when it comes to letting your car settle which just throws me off having to wait

This is great but you skipped something: your neutral air roll is also your power slide, and you have to hold power slide to not land and jerk from the ending of the speedflip

Or simply mention at least, that the double jump is an essential part of the mechanics.
