My sister in law messed up by not making her son eat different foods. He’s almost 6 and literally won’t eat anything but chicken nuggets, pancakes, Mac and cheese. He is in speech therapy where they do like a food exposure part. He starts by touching them and licking them and then trying them

@ashleycbla Жыл бұрын
@@SwimDeeep Every child is different and most don't even like to try different foods for reasons like "don't like" lol that's the way my three year old is right now even though I introduce her to try a variety of different fruits and foods. I have to keep trying and as she has gotten older she is starting to try more without automatically saying she doesn't like it (raising children can take a lot patience). It's a work in progress and can be even harder when you also work as a mom.

He had just turned 19 months here! I kind of did a combination of traditional solid feeding and baby led weaning, so he was eating it like this from a pretty young age, always very closely supervised. Obviously, only do what you feel comfortable with! You can also cut the skin off and serve it in strips if that would make you more comfortable to start! 😊

@jesystar2 жыл бұрын
@@citlalliyepez5379 first of all, eww 🤢 so rude. I shouldn't even address you at this point but I will so you can understand the reasoning behind the question since it's such an obvious answer to you. I asked because as a nanny and dealing with a lot of toddlers through out the years one of the things I try to teach them is manners and being polite most won't say please or thank you unless you ask them to say it, not always voluntarily especially so young. I asked because maybe she had another method of doing so not only just teaching or modeling it. Most kids don't use their words let alone being polite or knowing when to apply certain words until they are 2 or older.

I recommend putting one “safe” food on his plate, along with the new food. Or only add a tiny bit of new food along with another meal. And if he doesn’t eat it, don’t react, just keep adding a little new stuff, day by day, and eventually they’ll get more familiar with it and be comfortable with it. OR serve yourself the food and act like you’re hiding it 😂 for some reason my daughter always wants the foods she can’t have.

To avoid having to microwave the grilled cheese just turn the heat off at the end and put a lid on the pan. Melts the cheese and doesn't burn. You're cooking the sandwich on too high of a heat if the bread is burning before the cheese melts. Lower the heat and use a lid when frying to melt the cheese during the cooking process.

Thank u so much for doing this video. I have a grandson that's 18 months & one on the way. I've been out of the baby game for over 20 years so I've forgotten what babies can eat. This video has helped me alot. Thank u again ❤

Hi. Just a couple of questions. What type of cheese did you use for the grilled cheese? And was it 3 slices of cheese or one slice and a second split in half? Also do the veggie/egg muffins freeze well ? Thanks
