The one thing they leave out is tying the corners first. Seems they don't see that as important. It is important otherwise the comforter inside can slide around inside the duvet. Not sure why they left that out.
@askauntlaura Жыл бұрын
You're right Rick - tying the corners certainly keeps it from sliding around! Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
@OfficialBlondeAndBoujee2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video but, what about tying the corners?
@askauntlaura2 жыл бұрын
You are so right! I found that people were putting duvet covers on top of old comforters - and comforters don't have tabs to tie onto. I will definitely make a follow up video showing what those ties are for. :)Thanks for taking the time to comment!
@miatafunrun30782 жыл бұрын
I have been struggling for decades with this, I will have to try it :). I still don't understand why they can't make a cover with zippers on two sides - insert and zip up.
@askauntlaura2 жыл бұрын
I think you are on to something! Or even one that zippers on three sides, similar to a sleeping bag. Let me know if you tried it and how it came out - takes some practice. :)

Yes a king sized duvet does take more time - good way to get your daily step quota in by going from one side to the other, and then back to the other lol

Why do you not tie the cloth tags in all four corners before unrolling?
@askauntlaura2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Because many people use a duvet cover on a comforter (and not a duvet) - and a comforter doesn't have tabs to tie to. But this is a great reminder for me to make a follow up video on what those ties are for. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! :)
@Kittyququmber2 жыл бұрын
@@askauntlaura thank you for the response. So easy to add tabs to a comforter.
@darlenecarlo2563 жыл бұрын
Do you not use the corner ties?
@askauntlaura3 жыл бұрын
I do but to be honest I completely forgot to add that recommendation when I was making the video. And often people will use their existing comforters instead of a duvet, and there isn’t always a way to use the ties with a comforter. But a good reminder for me to make a video about the ties. Thanks!

@askauntlaura3 жыл бұрын
I had my daughter help me just for the sake of getting it done in about a minute because who wants to watch me walking from one side to the other for two minutes? Haha A king sized duvet is definitely a bit more time consuming then a smaller size.

Oh no! Without being there I'm not really sure why there is a difference. :( Other than the duvet being a size smaller than you thought it was, maybe the duvet was washed and put in the dryer and perhaps it shrunk a bit?
