It’s fun to listen to the conversation only in Polish first at normal speaking pace and try to see how many words I know. When translated and slowed down I knew most of it...but at normal speed I didn’t know as many words quickly (but got the main idea at least so woo!!)

Plażę sounds a bit like "playa" in Spanish, which is beach. Some words in Polish have some resemblance to words in Spanish, if makes it easier to understand =) I started to accidentally understand people speaking Polish because I was getting random words, until I got to a point where, even thought I could not translate what they spoke, at least I knew what they were talking about. I'm fluent in 3 languages, there are sounds that I guess trigger something in the brain and with enough of those triggers you get ideas, even if each trigger is completely different. Anyway, I think these conversations are amazing and really help a lot 😊, I'm too far from hearing Polish in person now, other than Zoom I don't get to hear it, so this is amazing =D, thank you.
