Different genres or did you stay within one genre? I was in a metal band for a few years as a bassist and backing vocalist. I also sang opera for about 15 yrs. @@RockandRollMystic I was in my first band at 15 years old as a lead singer. We were a cover band of 80s hairband music. Then from there a few different different bands mainly rock ‘n’ roll covers. I was with one band that we created 15 song original CD. And even a blues band lol. I was in and out of bands for about 35 years. About the time my middle daughter said she was pregnant after my oldest daughter had already had my first grandson, I decided to retire from fronting a rock band lol. Then my third grandbaby came along, and I became a full-time nanny. I can honestly say I have never tried opera except for in the shower or in the car lol. Seriously though I’ve never had any vocal training. I can’t sing like I used to, unfortunately. I still love my music though. I played trumpet when I was in high school and I took guitar lessons for a short period. But I never followed through with trying to play an instrument in any of the bands I was in except for high school where I played trumpet. I’m definitely going to have to check out your radio channel. ❤️

@@MissCoolalasMysticalMusings you had me at “hair bands”. Lol. My voice isn’t what it used to be either. Very much out of practice but I sound awesome in my car. 😂 That’s a great band resume! I stopped because the rehearsal schedule was killing me. And life was getting too busy to continue. Plus… my guitarist was young and so full of himself. I was just not into his drama. You’ll probably like my show. I play a lot of my favorites from the ‘80s and early ‘90s. It can get heavy but I try to balance things out so it’s not too crazy. I also curate the music for the hour after my 2-hour block with more chill rock. Artists like Bowie, Sting, Steely Dan, Moody Blues, and some singer/songwriter stuff. I’ve been known to pop in some blues rock too. My show airs every Wednesday at 4pm ET. (9pm UK). I’m the only American presenter on a British station and the only fully rock n roll show on the station. I play lots of great stuff from the ‘70s all the way to today but focus quite a bit on “gen x” music. I think you will enjoy it. If you go to the website whitehorseradio.net and click on the “listen again” page. There is a replay of last week’s show… all 3 hours. Once my show airs this coming week, it will be replaced with the new show. 😎🤘🏻
