More air bearings please! I just watched all of Dan Gelbart's videos, and I need to learn the secrets of ultimate precision machining! Air bearing seem to be one of the key components. I'm still waiting for someone to singlehandedly show the feasibility of making A or even B grade granite surface plates from scratch (minimal tools, or at least showing how to get a reasonably flat starting point without milling).

hello, Thank you for making the knowledge available to everyone. It is always a bummer when you see something really interesting getting removed because "it doesn't fit" or "some of you didn't like it". It might indeed be a bit different to what some people are expecting from the channel, however, part of the audience just doesn't care ; some of us are dumb as we follow a very simple rule : if it is knowledge, we will watch it. again, thanks for sharing.

@@LaneyMachineTech It might be helpful to add a link to your Laney Machine Tech channel. I subscribed instantly and expect I'll enjoy the lecture & demo format just as much as I enjoy the project based and general interest format of this channel. I'm very glad I decided to rewatch one of your other videos or I might have missed your channel update. Thank you for creating informative and entertaining content. (p.s. Looking forward to the further air bearing videos & all that follows. Have a great day!)

Please, sir, don't ever stop making videos. Learning about pumps from your channel was a blast. You are of of the best teachers I've ever seen- both on line and real life. Gosh, I hope I never do a scraping video. There are already so many out there... I especially like the ones made by Watch Wes Work. He has a very practical approach which is similar to my style of scraping. The one thing I have noticed is that although there are a lot of videos on the basics of scraping a flat surface, there are very few videos on how to recondition a machine tool like a lathe: guideway design, sequence of operations, tests and instruments. That might be fun.

I sort of got the point of the LP vids after watching the first vid for 5 mins then researching the details in the drawings title block. Felt like I was back in class during my apprenticeship. The power scraper looks sick, I'd love to see a build vid of it.

Yep, multiple channels is the way to go for this kind of situation. It would be nice if KZbin had built-in functionality for it, where one username can run multiple channels, kind of like projects on Hackaday. Would make it easier to keep things organized by theme, while also being easy to navigate between all the channels run by a particular person.

After reading your response and reasoning I was very glad to hear that wasn't your intention, it made perfect sense. But think you made a great decision to start another to put that content on it. And I'll prob sub it too : ) Your DIY power scraper looks awesome! Thanks for sharing it on Insta. Would totally watch an hour vid on that build! Thanks! Great channel! PS: You should link the other channel in the description, pin comment or card/end link. And make Insta/Twit hyperlinks for more clicks : )
