Enjoying these discussions. Approaching retirement, I'll have more time to play with my detectors that have languished too long in a cupboard. My first was a Garrett ADS Deepseeker and the last, a GPX4500, with a Goldseeker and FT1600 in-between. For some reason, the Garrett is special, maybe nostalgia. But I found my first gold with it up on Black Hill, back in the 80s. The gold was special too, rare finds of gold in crystal form.

I print my coils mono and D so when I pot them, I don't use much resin, and they are super light last detector I built 800g all in so I'm not swinging a brick
