In this very quick video I’m showing you how I use FreeTheRoots Hydrating Mist on my scalp! I have “semi- freeform” locs (stopped retwisting at 7 months) and am currently 11 months loc’d! Using this daily and increasing my water intake has improved my dry scalp tremendously!!

Can’t get my bottle to spray😢

Does yours have a small piece sticking out under the nozzle. It locks and unlocks the sprayer when you push it

when you first get it, is there something you have to remove for it to start spraying ?

There should be a small piece on the nozzle that says “lock” and “unlock.” You should be able to push the piece that is sticking out and hopefully you can begin to spray. Hope this helps!

I mainly focus on my scalp. Sometimes I do a couple spritz all over in addition to my scalp. It’s just whatever you prefer! It’s so lightweight and residue free so I love it 😊

@@aleshakate if not this spray what do you use to moisture the length of you hair? Do you use oils to seal?

I actually don’t use oils and don’t use anything on the length of my hair other than this. I wash my hair about once a week and use this product in the mornings and sometimes at night. And that’s it! Very simple. My hair feels lightweight and healthy. In the beginning of my journey I used the vitamin e oil + rose water mixture on my scalp and hair. It didn’t help me with the dryness of my scalp and I also didn’t like having residue on my fingers if I were to touch my hair. I’m also drinking more water and incorporating more fruits/ vegetables into my diet and am seeing a great improvement in my scalp 😊

No problem! For me my hair actually felt better when I stopped. There are essential oils in this product, however at a very low concentration-for fragrance in my opinion. I really believe hydrating properly on the inside is the most beneficial way to achieve a healthy scalp/hair. I feel like using a hydrating product on my scalp just aids and combats dryness as my body begins to get the proper hydration it needs.
