Hey Sirena, I've been doing the DLA thing since April...I've been awarded 16 total bids...8 of them are AIDC's....my question is how long does it usually take those guys to start sending me orders for the products to be shipped out and I officially start to get paid. I've won 2 AIDC's in Jun.. 2 in July and 4 in this month of August. Can you share some knowledge with me about it. Thanks in advance.....

I teach both product and services in our programs. My experience is with both. The area of the DIBBS system that I teach however, is specifically product. I started in GovCon with janitorial services, groundskeeping, Facilties etc. Check out our free FB group

You got to DLA sign up! Gotta have your uei/cage code. They will send you a letter in the mail to verify you. Use that code to finish signing up!

What if you have a large order that needs to be repacked with VSM labels before going to DLA,but you do not own space,are there any solutions?

You will need to receive, package, and label everything that goes to the Depot therefore, you will need to receive all products first. I know companies that literally package in an incubator space, others who started at home. If it's a large order that does not require Origin Inspection you can work with your OEM to have the product shipped to an alternate location for packaging but all in all if you're in this business you will eventually need a small space for receiving and shipping.

Sirena, I've been trying to use RFQ but ran into the Cybersecurity requirements. It seems so simple but then there are many steps that are needed prior to hitting the Quote button. Mil spec Packaging, Cybersecurity Assessment (need a written plan-auditable), WAWF account are just the ones I know but not sure what else I'll be required to complete before hitting that quote button. We are a wholesale distributor so we didn't anticipate these requirements. Any advice? Finding GPC holders definitely seems like an easier option.

@@jeanduran9514 Thank you for your patience. Mil-spec packaging is really straightforward. The award document will spell out the requirements. I review this in my course in greater detail. As for the Cyber security requirements, there are no cybersecurity requirements to submit your quote. Are you referring to the language within the solicitation? If you are seeing technical documents that is for the manufacturer not the distributor. FFF is what matters. Product directly from OEM with Exact Form, Fit, Function.

Appreciate your video. Just want to say from a teacher point of view you kind of lose ppl attention by doing all those searches, pauses, etc & newbies dont understand all those terms. Also, FedExchange teaches this course to Small Businesses.
