10 ibs pickling cucumbers
3/4 cup pickling salt or sea salt
2 Quarts White Vinegar
2 Quarts Water
4TBS Dill seed or pickling spice
6 bay leaves
3 heads basil
3-5 heads dill
5 cloves garlic coursely chopped
Wash cucumbers, dissolve salt in water and vinegar.
Add cucumbers and herbs in crock, alternating in layers.
Add water, salt vinegar
Cover and refrigerate
Check in 2 weeks, it takes a month for them to cure.
They last a year
You can adjust this recipe to put into quart jars.
