I saw these in your other video and immediately bought them for my garage/workshop. I love them. I didn’t realize how much the previous poor lighting made me not want to go out there. I’m currently moving to a new home and, when I settle in, I’m doing it all over again. Cheap, easy and awesome.

Replaced my fluorescent fixture with a set of these my third bay garage shop. Perfect lighting. Easy install. I used the wiring for the fluorescents to install an outlet box, which kept the lights on the light switch.

One additional tip I would make is that the bare led can give a bit of a glare (was really annoying on short ceiling where my eye would catch it even when not looking up). To combat this I got some diffusion film and it really helped.

Based upon your shop video where you added them to your garage, i did the same thing and have loved every day since. The small two car garage was only being lit by ONE tiny light bulb and now has SIX 4' LED lights. The install was simple and was a fraction of the cost of buying them from a big box store. Thanks again for the recommendation and keep perusing Shop Greatness!

Still for under $50 I am very happy. And I can daisy chain some more later for those far corners. Thank you for your channel! Tom Back in Texas

Thank you. With the link you provided for the product I was able to determine the amount of amps drawn by each light. I am looking to illuminate a large crawl space under a home and was curious on how many of these I can put up. Did the product instruction happen to mention a total number of lights that could be strung together using the wires provided? My guess would be the provided wire rather than the power supplying wire would be the limiting factor.

Hey Travis. Back when I first saw your video of installing lights in your Texas garage, I installed the 8' version of them in my garage. That was January of 2020. Since that time, every light strip has MANY LEDs burned out. I'm talking 15-20 per. These things are dying at an alarming rate, and if you look at the reviews on Amazon, you'll see that this is happening to lots of other people. I've contacted the seller, and they have agreed to send me replacements under the 3 year warranty, but I'm sure those lights will fail in 2 years time as well. Replacing these lights every few years is basically renting them, which I'm not on board with. I think it's time to find another, better option. Just letting you know.

I bought the 8’ versions of these lights and plugged two together using the little hard connector that comes with them for 16’ span down the length of my garage. I have five of these strips in the two car portion of my garage and bump out area. The color temp of these lights are great at 6000k, which is daylight, but the are so bright, it’s difficult to look at them. I decided to cover each bulb with white, semitransparent shelf paper that you can get at HD. Shelf paper has a light adhesive and works great for this because it’s slightly stretchy, so you can lay it over the curved bulbs easily. Now I can have all the light I wanted, and keep from damaging my vision. I’m only partially kidding about that, these bulbs are BRIGHT! One issue I ran into and still haven’t resolved is that the bulbs pull apart from each other every so often. I’m guessing the ceiling moves with temperature changes and causes the separation. It’s annoying, but easy to push them back into the connector.

I have had these in my garage shop and basement for a few years now. I love them. I switched to the 8 ft version for the garage. I have had a few lights go bad over time however Barrina customer service stands behind the warranty and sent me out new ones promptly. One tip for going into drywall - the supplied mounting brackets are okay. What I found works well is using a inch and a half conduit strap. These make it easier to mount the lights without worry of the clips not lining up exactly. like this one: www.amazon.com/Gardner-Bender-GCC-510-Conduit-Plastic/dp/B000VL83MA/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=conduit+strap+plastic&qid=1616001844&sr=8-12
