Quick & easy miniature watercolour landscape painting tutorial 🌳

This video was originally filmed for my Patreon - I hope that you enjoy this peek into my process and perhaps even feel inspired to paint your own miniature landscapes in watercolor using this technique too! I'm using Wallace Seymour watercolours for these pieces, but you can use any watercolors you prefer. The details are added with gouache; I enjoy using Winsor & Newton Designer's, Schmincke Horadam, ShinHan Professional and others, but again, please just use whatever you already own!

Thanks Kari! I would say that generally speaking it's more economical to buy tubes and then squeeze them into your palette (or pans within a palette) rather than buying them as solid pans. Especially if they're colours you're going to use a lot, as large tubes of watercolour are often a much better buy than the smaller ones!

I absolutely love them, they're some of my favourite watercolours! I actually have an A Gallo video coming up where I rearrange my colours to make a curated palette, so watch out for that one soon! They're beautiful to use and some of the colours are really unique!

I always get lost in the details and usually wind up overworking the piece and having to step back and go “Alright, where did I go to far and can I lift some of this up to bring it back down?” It makes me realize I unintentionally make things so much more complicated for myself 🥲
