I just had to comment that I made this again tonight. I didn't have lemons, so I used lime zest. My shrimp was jumbo (bought fresh caught at Whole Foods), so I butterflied it and it turned out fine. I had a green bell pepper that needed to be used, rather than red. I also had fresh spinach that needed to be used. The dish was fantastic!!!! FANTASTIC!!!

I tried this dish tonight, and it came out looking just like Louise's! I loved the way the shrimp broth and wine permeated the pasta! I used Riesling and served the remainder with dinner! The pasta was a perfect al dente. I didn't remember to buy broccoli, so I used the frozen I had on hand - worked fine after microwaving it. Unless you have a sous chef on hand this is not a quick recipe, but it was easy. Definitely restaurant quality and good enough to serve to company. This was the first time trying my new Ninja Foodi, and I'm hooked! Louise, which lid do you use when roasting the garlic and do you need to preheat first? I used the air fryer lid and didn't preheat. My garlic was still quite hard and I had to finish it up in the conventional oven. I really love your style of cooking with layered flavors and a variety of colors and textures! Thanks so much for posting your recipes! I love your demos and cooked this dish along with you while watching your video! I made a simple caprese salad with sweet lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pearl mozzarella, sliced red onions, fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette. Note: I also have had the Pampered Chef garlic press for years. The men loved the addition of red pepper flakes!

This makes me so happy! I'm so glad you guys loved it. I'm sorry it wasn't quick though, it's so hard to judge how long it is going to take someone to prep for a recipe. I didn't take into account the roasting of garlic either, so I'm sorry about that. I always have roasted garlic done ahead of time. I use the tendercrisp lid and I don't preheat, so I'm surprised your garlic was still hard. Did you wrap it in foil? I hope I didn't give wrong instructions in the video. I use the bake/roast function on 325 for 35 minutes. I cut the tops off of the garlic bulbs and drizzle with oil and then wrap them in foil. I usually do 4-5 bulbs at a time. Your entire dinner sounds fantastic!

There isn't a recipe for Old Bay, but I do give an alternative spice blend in the post. Here it is: You can also use 1/2 tsp Season-All, 1/4 tsp garlic salt, 1/4 tsp celery salt. That should work to give you a nice flavored stock.

Hi! Making this today and roasting garlic as we speak! If I want to roast a whole bunch of bulbs, how do I preserve them to use in another day or in another recipe? Do i refrigerate them? Also when I’m ready to use them again do I need to do anything special like reheat them or do they remain ready to use? Lastly, how long do they last? Thanks!!
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
Yay! You can store them in the fridge in a zip lock baggy or wrapped in foil and they keep for about a week or so. To preserve them longer, submerge them in olive oil and they will last quite a while. You don't have to do anything when you go to reuse them except peel off the paper.

Just got my Ninja Foodi today. I made pressure cooked hard boiled eggs, then your burgers. So far, so good, though my eggs took six minutes, not the four the manual recommended ( yolks were still runny at 4). The scampi looks delicious. Making that next. I may stay up all night cooking!

@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
I can’t wait to hear what you think of the scampi!
@adamsrose0015 жыл бұрын
Oh my! So here’s the thing...I LOVE to cook! I come from a LARGE Italian family and never learned how to cook for ‘just a few’...I’ve made shrimp scampi so many times, but this is the first time doing it in the foodi! IT. WAS. FABULOUS!! I rarely measure anything, I often improvise with what I have on hand and I’m always thrilled to find a way to improve on an old standard. I probably have most kitchen toys imaginable and when I buy a new one, it makes me sad when I can’t figure out how to adapt recipes to use it to it’s full potential. The foodi is by far my favorite new toy (with my ninja hot/cold brew system up for a close second!) And you, dear Louise, have made me a rockstar among friends! They love to get the call that I’m trying a new recipe and are always game to eat it! I love how easy it is to roast garlic - by far one of my favorites. My 4 year old granddaughter tells people that ‘garlic is our favorite perfume’! I will be trying your yogurt recipe next and can’t wait to see how you make ricotta AND lasagna! Thank you so much for your amazing videos!
