I typically have to layer products to fight dryness. So, I would use a moisturizer (Aunt Jackie's Knot Havin' It), an oil, and a styler (a heavy pomade such as Blue Magic or a styling product like Taliah Waajid Style & Shine). =)

No, I usually let her sleep in them as long as they're not bothering her. She sleeps with a satin bonnet on at night, so I usually just do a quick brush up in the morning and go. =)

You can use rubber bands to secure the barrettes. But honestly, she'll probably still figure out how to pull them off...

The ECO gel probably isn't mixing well with another product you're using. You could try Curl Peace Edge Control, Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Edge control, or Taliah Waajid Style & Shine instead. =)

There's no specific products I use. I just do my best to make sure her hair is moisturized. I deep condition weekly and use the L.O.C. method (leave-in conditioner, oil, cream) for moisture in between wash days. =)
