I think the major problem i have observed is that the people don't understand the movement and path and just they try to copy things without understanding what actually they are doing and WHY they are doing.

Regarding bumping the bar into the hips. I remember an older video from Juggernaut Training that featured you where he seemed to be coaching just that. What was with that? Thanks for the clarification. I’ll try to find a link to the video I’m referring to.

You have to make a newer video related to the meals you do during the week Kristin! :D

How do i fix my let`s call it tendency to fell forward? I mean when I rise, my arms moves automatically forward and it doesn`t matter the weight (empty bar or wood bar to train) I tend to move forward and fell

I remember being told a long time ago that the snatch is not an overhead press, hence implying that your arms and shoulders should be locked out with the bar by the time you reach the bottom before standing up. Don't know if that helps but that was one correction that has stuck with me forever.

Kristin, thanks a lot! I also tend to bend my elbows on the way up, I tried to externally rotate them to force them straight but they naturally bend just before contact as I try to pull the bar up...Any tip for that please?

What's the difference between a snatch and a power snatch?
@kodijones52242 жыл бұрын
I think a power snatch is when you pull the bar from the floor, this is your starting point. versus a snatch is when the starting point of the bar is at your hips when your stood up straight.

I've recently started trying to teach myself oly lifting and your technique videos are a goldmine.

It’s better to get a real Oly coach. They can point out details that you can’t see. It will help reduce chances of injury.

Kegel exercises and plastic surgery might be the only effective options. Banging the bar can only be damaging.
