I sell handmade cards. Every once in a while I'll go through them and see what's been around the longest. Those are the ones I remake, whether it's switching one embellishment for another, changing words, or disassembling the card altogether and starting over using it as "spare parts". When I do this I often find that the revamped card takes on a new life an usually sells quickly.

I love wooden cutting boards. They display well with wooden rolling pins and other wooden kitchen utensils. You’ve inspired me to line up a booth in my friends shop in a small town nearby that reinvented itself as an antique village after years of decay after the tobacco industry left the area. I sold painted furniture in a booth in the past but was teaching full time and had to give it up. I love your simple but classy style. And yes, I did bring a few pieces home and repainted when they did not sell.

Hi Yvonne ~ At first glance I didn’t think your booth was that empty… but when you restocked …WOW!!! Looking fabulous ! I love seeing the grain in the wood also. Some pieces are perfect for the natural wood and some just need the paint to bring the beautiful detail out. You have an excellent eye… and a wonderful talent to upcycle! Oh my...loved looking at your booth. As far as inspiring your viewer, of course! You have a special way to describe what you are making and how to then make it! Thank you. I’ve made several things that you have demonstrated with my own tweak but, I always like yours better, lol. I can’t remember if you stated that you like pallets. If so, I’ll send you a picture of what my husband and I have done with them. No worries, its not 100 pics, it’s just one thing with a twist. I don’t make things for a booth, just my own home.

Much thought went into styling your booth with wonderful items seen in your video rehabs. My business on-site and online shop often are restyled sometimes just changing embellishments. Items are staged by "color" where a customer can view many other pieces/accessories creating multi-sales . . . this works for me. Continued success - your joint venture truly works.

Great ideas for cutting boards and the pieces that didn't sell! Sometimes it seems when i move a piece that isn't selling to my second booth, it will sell! If you are looking for a road trip idea, come on up to Changing Thymes in Grandville, Michigan! There are 2 stores within a mile of each other! Not to mention all the secondhand stores in this area! Love your ideas and thanks for the booth tour!

OMG...probably my favorite thing to do is restore old cutting boards...sometimes the finish you reveal is amazing and I've had more than my share of AHAH moments when their true beauty is revealed. And...lol...I have the exact same mineral oil I use on my pieces for food safe items...hugs from Susan in Florida :)

Your booth looks so nice and inviting!! I enjoy seeing people's booths, especially if they look really well put together, like yours. I prefer to have stenciled, painted designs whenever possible. Much more durable & professional looking from my own point of view. When I started out and used vinyl, I would always have people ask, "Aren't those just stickers?" plus, they don't seem to hold up on wood at the edges. And yes, I do occasionally bring pieces home that seem to be "stagnant" and make them over, or even just to get them out so that I can add new product. I may bring them back later and sometimes they sell and sometimes I have to recreate them. There have been some items that I've had to make over 3 to 5 times before it sold! I like to have smooth cut-free cutting boards in most cases, but the first one I ever did, I didn't sand and I added a cool design to, but it already looked old, so it all added to the charm of it's age.
