Quick Flower Producer - Minecraft Ideas

A super-easy method for quick collection of flowers. And seeds, I guess. But by the time you've got enough bonemeal to use this method, you probably don't need seeds.

It's called SMERF: Static's something something There are some really good designs for this out there, some even use redstone to update the grass so it allways pops up instantly.

I do a 7 by 7 dark room to generate seeds for a large wheat farm. Sometimes all the grass does not disappear and if you don't move around to collect the items you can get lag. I've easily gotten 200+ entities this way.

just a tip; if you make a bigger box, then one piece of bonemeal will give you more seeds/flowers because it has more space to produce grass/flowers.

Muse, that's called a darkroom. It was invented for use with the technic pack, using redpower to make equivalent exchange emc. It is by no stretch of the imagination an original idea.

If you want to make this ideal make an 7X7 box with windows that you can open and close. (to keep the grass there) Then underneath the grass put a bunch of redstone hitched to a rapid pulser. This will make it so the flowers always pop. (Sometimes they stay where they are)

Well it's just a property of flowers to pop out in darkness. Muse has just done it manually in a room and Static uses water to flush them down.

The Dark room that i made took 10 glowstone, about somewhere between 3 to 4 stacks of redstone, repeters, redstone torches and maybe 6 stacks of cobblestone. and some dirt blocks.

i made a dark room with a pistion 2 by 2 door and a On/Off switch that turns on the light that come from glowstone...this helps keep mobs out of the dark room and when you want to use the room just turn off the lights and do what he did in the video ^.

I actully did this inside my mushroom farm room because it so dark that i can use all the bone meal in there to get me seeds and flowers.

For all those saying to use a bigger room; the advantage of a small room is that you don't have to go anywhere to pick them all up.

dang, and I set up an invention where a room of grass, you place the bonemeal move the curser one block over and hit a button and water would funnel all the grass and flowers into a collection bin. your method is a lot faster and simpler =(

I don't give a sh** about your seeds. Lol. This is perfect for your server, I see people running around collecting flowers to buy a town, that will save alot of time! That's what I did, although I never did buy a town.

They need to make seed the farm-food for chickens. As well as a pee-shooter that lets you spit seeds at stuff. (Weaker but faster version of a bow)

You can make it 3x3, stand in the middle, and still not have to move around.

Muse! This just got broken in the recent snapshot, so this won't work. It doesn't make the grass/flowers in the dark.

I know you create videos to pay the bills, but this video kinda seemed like you had a deadline to make. I, for one, would rather wait longer to see a higher quality video, rather than short lower quality videos. I am also not saying that a flower producer video cannot be higher quality. Maybe you could have shown more examples of what you could do with that many flowers? I don't know, it just kinda seemed rushed to me. But it's your channel, so do what you want, I guess =/
